Chris Avellone ends his silence

I feel sorry for her ruining her own life with acting like a sociopath on social media.

She has a son, couldn't she just have settled with being a good mum for him? Poor fellow.

Has she ruined her life though? Is she retracting anything or expected to not defend herself? I'd assume she's seen to be in the right by most still?

For the most part, there will still be a majority that agree with her.
Even then, if industry professionals come out and be in favour of her, it could pretty much end the argument.

The fact is, we don't know what he is like behind the scenes. And we don't know what perception People have have.
We're just fans who can only speculate.

Really, our input doesn't mean much at all.

twitter "majority" lolno

It's dependant really, as only us, Twitter and RPGcodex really give a crap about this.

The problem is, if it turns out she was fabricating the whole thing (something which I'm inclined to believe at this point) then going forward, she would have done more damage with People speaking out as effectively, there's a precedent set against them.

Yeah, I understand what you mean.
This will probably upset some people, but even though this was went about in all the wrong ways and is getting all the wrong attention it's still possible that Chris did in fact do something bad. Maybe more than once. We really don't know. Just as it is possible he is also innocent as I stated earlier. Both are still on the table currently independent of what people may feel about what the women in question did, which is another issue all together.

Yep. One the one hand, it would be really good news to find out that no one was raped/molested, etc. On the other, I think it would be really bad if these women lied to such a degree over something that already has issues with women not coming forward when they were raped for fear of the consequences they may face for doing so. This could make that issue worse if it's found out they did lie.

Yeah it's possible he was boozing her up to make out which is something a teenager does but it seems like she was planning to booze him up to get into a relationship. It's a non issue they didn't even fuck. Is she 12?

The fucked up part is at this poiny my immediate reaction to shit like this is "that bitch is prolly lying fuck her" and its exactly because of shit like this. Which is just as bad as immediately believing accusers.

I can usually tell when someone has actually been sexually abused since I know a lot of people who have and they share traits and behaviors. This woman does not act abused.

Usually if you get abused and you are an adult and not groomed you will not go back for seconds.

In this case my first reaction was "Wait, Avellone isn't gay?". Then it was "Game designer from California, being a creep to women checks out". And then the "con-thot wants revenge" narrative came about, which makes just as much sense.

Haas went through all the emotions

If it comes out that he did do something this will look unbelievably bad. He must be sure of his innocence here. We'll see if it holds going forward.
If what he did was that bad I'd think police investigators would have been involved from the start.

I'll be interested in what comes of this
He has now written an article you can read here.

He has this audio embedded there but I'm also posting it here in case anyone just wants it alone.

He then went on to tweet this

and this

It seems clear to me he is likely enjoying the attention and is milking this a bit, but you can't complain with results I suppose.

I really was worried Chris was dead in the water for a while, and I always thought Karissa's motives and allegations were suspicious. Hopefully, the truth will prevail in the end.
