The new one is generic crap, the old one had some class. It will remain in our front page logos though.

The new logo sucks. It looks more like the logo of some car wash than a proper Civil Defense logo.

Good to see Chris Taylor is still alive and kicking, though. :)
 
so they change a logo, that while conservative, it is also very recognisable & clear, with a craptic americana pride logo that looks like some random stupid commerical brand crap?

not only do they change the letters (Civil Defence vs Emergency Management), but they also put a slogan on the freaking logo? "public safety, public trust"? i bet that kinda stings after Katrina. har har.

That's a shame, the old logo was really cool. It had a very Masonic feel to it, as did the old FEMA seal.

The new logo sucks, pity 'cause not only many people get used and were familiar with it, but also it was one of the signs of the century. And now it's trodden.

That was never the symbol of Jesus! They just want you to think it was!

Either that, or it's also the secret symbol of Freecarpentry.
