These were the days before you hit the gym hey...do you still workout. I have this vision that unless beefy guys continue to workout they eventually turn to mush. Shame about the car...what do you drive now.

Truly sad.
Sorry, mate.

Anyway, just remembered another astonishing car - Ferrari again.
Ferrari Daytona.

Amazing machine.

And Lamborghini Countach.

One of the best-looking badass cars.

While cool, that's not really what I was referring to with the original question.

I was 16 - 6' tall and 140lbs - plus I was running crosscountry track. I could have been doing steroids and I would'nt have been able to 'bulk up'.

Yes, I still work out - but I didn't start until I was 30.

I currently drive a 2009 nissan titan le w/ 4wd. Speaking of awesome trucks - this was mine unti I wrapped it around a tree.

ps - everybody turns to mush if they don't work out and it's not a shame that my car helped me pay for college.

Well, they're aren't muscle cars, but Daytona is retro...sort of.
I went a lil' bit astray with Lamborghini, though.

my next mustang was a '67 fastback with a 390 in it.

I think I wrecked it at least nine times before I got rid of that monster...

I love the curved shapes of the cars from the 1940's - 50's...what was considered the Golden Age of cars, if such a thing even existed - 50's, 60's.

Boy, DB, your cars were really neat. It's a shame that you don't have any of them now, but they must have been cool while they lasted.

Yep, all good things come to an end and they were a blast while they lasted. (don't think I don't get your blatantly obvious sarcasm, junior)

I'm quite happy with the toys I have now and the memories of past toys.

I've got my great Nissan Titan 4x4 special edition LE with leather interior, heated seats, and every bell and whistle available. There's my cool little Shelby 427 cobrajet replica (all metal, no fiberglass) for acting foolish on the highway...

And my Yamaha Vstar 1100 motorcycle for when I'm feeling semi-suicidal on two wheels.

I've owned three 60's era mustangs, a '69 barracuda, and several other great cars - but I'm content with what I have.

No shame involved, but thanks for your 'concern' honey.

No, I'm seriously not being sarcastic. I really like that sort of car, and just because we disagree in certain political stances doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the same sorts of vehicles. Sorry if you interpret it that way.

Man, I'd love a Barracuda.
Or any muscle car from that era, but they're really rare and expensive around here.
The only cars from here that come at least close to muscle/pony cars are the Opel Manta variants.

Not optimal, though.
They also have a really bad reputation for being yobbo cars, but fuck them :D I'm getting a mullet and cowboyboots when I get a Manta just because :D
I don't have any car, though. I'm a poor student, and in my town you're faster with a bicycle.

Mine was a butt-ugly white '69 cuda that looked like this:

It did have the 440 engine in it and it ran like a scalded dog (very fast).

It also had huge wiring issues that eventually led to the dash warning lights not working, so when the oil pump stopped working, I had no way of knowing my engine block was turning itself into a huge paperweight.

Not cool to have your motor melt on the highway at 1am...

Before the wife and kid, I had the Tempest:
tempest.jpg

13 mpg, no AC, vinyl seats, wood wheel, metal dash, and front seat only lap belts. In the summer time, it would heat up to just below the temperature of the surface of the sun. You'd have to sit on a towel and work the metal shifter with a leather glove. I loved that impractical death trap to a level I would not experience again until the birth of my son. Had to sell it to pay for my last semester of college, and while worth it, I have regretted it ever since.

Nowadays, I tool around in a 2008 Titan long bed, which also gets around 13 mpg, but has air conditioning and real seat belts. Couple of mini-vans round out the fleet, along with a 1979 Yamaha XT, child safe, of course.

Had a '84 Camaro and a '88 Firechicken both with the same size 305 engine...and the mullet to go with them. Had to sell mine too when the kids came. Wish I'd kept those Cragar SSs though.
