Does anybody ley Tubby live in the game? I used to kill Tubby & everybody selling Jet...hoping I'm getting rid of their drug problem. But I was wondering the other day ....
If you could just cure the Jet epidemic, would you not have to kill the jet dealers and they get cured on their own?

    Just a thought/question I had.
If you sold Jet in the den...Then I killed you last night.
I got karma for doing so...
What do you guys do about the Jet sellers & addicts in the Den?

When you gotta clean up a society, you gotta clean up a society. You know? I think you made the right decision in your previous games.

Man, its just too easy to
    kill flick. He doesnt even
    pull a weapon! Tubby is
    just too easy too.

I actually think its a game
    imbalance - but fun nonetheless!

I'd kill off Tubby and Flick just to get decent armor and items to sell off for money in other locations.

That early in the game, the extra advantage means a lot.

Actually I refreain from killing anyone in the Den, apart from Metzger. I hate that stuck-up slaving bastard.
In the very first game of FO2 I played I hade some strange random encounter, where I stole the H&K CAWS, just outside of Klamath. Imagine that at level 2! So Metzger was a piece of cake with THAT weapon. And I've never once let him live since then, even if I had to drug myself up to the brim. After I finish the church quests, of course.
Oh, and that drug-dealer with Anna's locket. There must be another way to get that locket, but I have yet to learn it.

Yes I have. I had nightmares about that guy back in the day . . . And when that retard in the Slaver's guild greeted me with the same line I knew I'd crack his skull open with a crowbar (an option which Blizzard, regrettably, forgot to include).

Stealing the Psycho from one of the slavers makes the fight quite a bit easier. 75% DR (with leather armor) makes those 10mm pistols pretty much ineffective.

You ain't kidding! I remember the first time I tried taking out Metzger, and that one guy just would not die! (actually the first time I tried taking him out, I was cheating pretty heavily, but that doesn't count =P)

As for Tubby and Flick, on my last playthrough I tried leaving them alive, as was many suggestions I've heard.... meh, I really don't think leaving them alive is worth sacrificing all the free stuff you can get from them this early in the game. The only downside is, it's alot of stuff to carry till you get to a merchant. There's Modoc, but it's just so easy to take his stock right off the shelf, I'm usually not ready to sell anything till Vault City.

I went back to the Den after I got the Power Armor late in the game. Miniguns kill Slavers pretty good.

I generally let Tubby live, Flick too....Yeah the stuff is nice...but no merchants ever have enough money or stuff you need to trade decent. atleast till San Fran in my opinion. Other than ammo, or quest needed items, I don't use merchants much, I rely on random encounters, and Military bases for guns and armor. I do like to once in awhile...run a scourge of the earth runthrough. Whacking whole towns except for people I may like. Like just leaving Becky and Mom's survive killing all the jet heads, prostitutes and dealers. Or occasionally running a racist game, killing all the mutants, or all the ghouls, or all the Chinese. I have played FO2 for over 10 years now, theres always something different to do. I take breaks or whatever, but always comeback. Now I am playing the Megamod. And I just want to put a big thankyou out to all the guys who worked on the mods within it, and the person who compiled it...all great members of this community

I let tubby & flick live this time around. With the restoration...I found a way to help the kids. Him slaving the kids made me kill the guy with no questions asked. I seen kids being worked to the bone at the Mexican border crossing. Flick caused me to have a flashback and I murdered him every time. Now that he's not working the kids...I let his stuttering self live.
