Clifton's Eye

First time out of the vault
Where's Clifton's Eye, please? I see Per Jorner's Walkthrough says "wall locker in the far northeast room" (of Level 3 of SAD) but there's no locker there! I've only gotten Dixon's Eye, and I've searched all over the three levels of SAD...gamebanshee.com lists Clifton's Eye as being in some "Robotics Lab" but there isn't anything but the robot and the BioMed Gel there....

And another thing...what the heck is the point of a Search capability that pulls up all kinds of non-relevant crap??? I really don't understand search engines. Can someone explain this to me (since y'all have been so helpful so far): how can a search engine return millions of SH!T not even bearing the terms "Clifton's Eye"...I mean, wouldn't it just say "No Results" or something like that????

phpBB search function is notoriously bad, you kind of have to learn to work with it. Typing in Clifton's Eye when you're looking for it is bad, typing in just Clifton is better

That said, the location of Clifton's Eye can be found on our SAD map. Not it's a wall locker, not one of those standing lockers.

Not if you use the 'search for all terms' checkbox.
Psch.

"Wall locker!" Looks more like a "wall safe" to me!

Thanks for the tips...sigh!

Not sure what the difference between "all terms" and "any terms" is...I thought search engines simply looked for matching text strings?? Ah, time to read another Big Book of Science...!

Looking for all terms means it matches *only* threads that contain *all* of the terms. Looking for any terms means it searches for threads matching *any* of the terms, not *all* of them.

Seems pretty damned intuitive to me.

This reminds me of the Married with Children episode where Al and Jefferson fail to assemble a piece of furniture because they're looking for right-angled pieces and can only find L-shaped ones.

Still it'd be nice if the damn script took quotation marks into account :(

I edited the thread name for more clarity (Incidentally, it's the only thread for "Clifton's eye", so...)
