As for a realistic shooter staring Brits, I offer Hidden and Dangerous. Its free now, although the sequel is much more refined.

Second that, the Hidden & Dangerous games are my favorite WW2 games. Though the sequel has better graphics and some improvements it's tactical map was nowhere near as good.

But the Hidden & Dangerous deluxe was released free as a promotion for H&D2 so well worth a download.
