I would eliminate the graphic card. If it was truly fried, you would be seeing artifacts on the screen. In fact, I doubt this problem has anything to do with your hardware. Um...Have you tried starting Windows in the Safe Mode? You do it by hitting F8 like a madman during startup, then choosing Safe Mode from the list. If you manage to start Windows in the Safe Mode, check Device Manager for hardware conflicts (especially pay attention to IRQ's, I/O range and memory range of your display adapter and your IDE controller). Another possibility is corrupted boot section of your hard drive. Maybe your HDD is damaged? Bah, you should have an expert take a look at your system.
