Consequenses for siding against Mr. House?

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Are there any? Like if you screw Caesar you get assassins after you, NCR sends Ranger hit squads after you, but it seems like all House does is turn his robots hostile and only in the Lucky 38.

Kind of makes me wonder because he had no problem telling you to dispose of Benny, why doesn't he send his robots out to hunt you or send his robots to contract mercenaries to kill you with an extremely high price on your head?

Well considering that Siding against him is basically killing him and taking over his robots I don't see how he could do anything from beyond the grave.

What about the NCR run? IIRC you can leave him alive until pretty late in the game.

Yes... but you are not acting against him, the only thing he needs is the BOS gone and his securitrons active, if you destroy his securitrons then he has no way of attacking you outside of the Strip.

Ah, no wonder he strikes me as one of the more boring factions. Good, I'll just keep murdering him, feeling good about it, and going on my merry way.

Good going killing a defeneseless old man that is repsonsible for Nevada not being reduced to a crater of fire thanks to his wit and resources.

Without his robot army, he's nothing.

That's like describing a bodybuilder by saying "he himself is defenseless, without his muscles he is nothing".

Mr. House lives in an impenetrable fortress guarded by an army of robots and turrets located in the middle of a walled city protected by his personal army of gangsters and even more robots. He's probably the most well defended man in the Mojave apart from maybe Caesar.

Not really. His MK1 Securitrons are pretty pathetic.

I killed the two on the ground floor with a 9mm SMG, Jane and another with That Gun + AP ammo, and killed three more with a single pulse grenade while cloaked. This was on hard.

Caesar's praetorians on the other hand will mess you up.

Gameplay and story segregation bro. Storywise he's probably the most well protected man on the West coast.

Ah, gotcha. Thought you were talking about gameplay as well.

Still pretty hilarious though how I mowed down his bodyguards with a 9mm weapon :D

MKII Securitrons are a Bitch to defeat without Pulse grenades.
Or I don't know the difficulty of the vanilla game is a distinta memory for me, what with using Project Nevada and AI Overhaul mods.

He's pretty fortified, but not invincible. I bet the NCR or Legion could easily storm the place and take him out. Yeah there would be casualties but in all honesty there's what? 2 securitrons at the bottom floor lift, and 5 or 6 in the penthouse? Easily taken down with a batallion of soldiers armed with pulse grenades and other EMP producing weapons.

Except if they are upgraded to MKII, and the NCR is overstretched as it is with the Legion, they can't just throw half their troops at destroying on the most profitable resources in the city.

I'm just saying IF THEY WANTED TO. Also I didn't mention just the NCR. Even the Mk. II's if the Legion decided to get pissy and storm the Lucky 38, Caesar would have no problem just tossing bodies at them until they went down.

Huh, I should try that next time then.

Killing a MKII with a 9mm SMG + light bolt that is :D

Where would they get the EMP weapons though?

The NCR does not seem to have ready access to tech that advanced.
