Controlling NPC skills- idea

I would just be happy with a more advanced weapon selection system for your NPC's. Instead of "use your best weapon" you should beable to see a list of the weapons they have, and tell them "use This one."

Holy shit come on... Teaming up with people in fallout 1 was pointless, and teaming up with people in fallout 2 was even more pointless....

You dont need them and i completely rapped anything that got in my way without them. I couldnt fly or shit, probly becuase fallout creatures didnt give us those features... but i kicked some fucking ass, like taking on 6 enclave soldiers at once and living, and yes... i'm pretty sure i've won against a good group of 5-8 mutants + monsters....

Your just noobs thats all, noobs....

1. You use way way way too many cuss words.
2. The fact that an NPC may be useless in combat(Which I'm sure he isn't, NPCs can come in handy a lot if you're not focusing your character purely on combat.) does not mean that NPCs aren't a good addition to the game, both due to atmosphere and social factors for your character.
3. You talk as if you're the master of Fallout, and know everything and are all-mighty. Get over it, to illustrate the fact that you're not even close to that title:
I've gone from lvl 25 to 60 by doing, on my own, without the car to travel around, as many encounters as possible around the enclave and San Francisco, meaning groups of up to 15 mutated freaky creatures, mutants and enclave soldiers.
As well as that, it's silly to hear someone talk like that...

How many a folk you can kill doesn't make you a good player. It's not Quake, or Half-Life. And those statisitcs aren't that impressive.
If you are using a Charisma-boy or especially if you are using a pacifist character (the most fun,) you need party members to kill and carry stuff and so on.
So NPCs should be available but not necessary, because not everybody likes having to manage the multiple inventories.
