Converting graphics from BOS to F2

First time out of the vault
I wanted to know if it is possible to convert character graphics from Fallout Tactics to F2. I mean, i'd really like my hero to look like he looks in BOS (especially weapons which i consider better in Tactics). I have a feeling that it is possible, but i need a hint on how to do it.

P.S. It's really great to know that there are still people who love this game so much. Fallout is really incredible.

Now i have another problem. Suppose i have a converted FRM of a critter (namely all FRMs of main hero) and i want to put in in the actual game. I mean, I want the game to stay the same but with the new graphics. I figure i have to replace all the FRM files in critters.dat with the new ones, right? Or maybe there is another way? Like telling fallout to search for certain graphics in certain folder or so?

Basically I want to play original fallout 2 with the FRMs for my hero.
 
Create a Folder called 'Data' in the Fallout2 directory. Then create anothed folder in that called art, and then another in that called critters

C:\Program Files\BalckIsle\Fallout2\Data\Art\Critters

Then copy the new FRMs in there. You can then do this the next part a couple of ways

1) Rename the FRMs so that the have the same name as the item critter you want to replace. The change will then take effect stright away as it will overide what is in the data directory

2) Add the new FRMs to the critters.lst file in the critters folder. Install the Fallout 2 Mapper, and edit the critters proto files to use the new art. You wil then need to start a new game for this to take effect.

Option 1 is the easy way, option two is the correct way.
