Curious - How does AC is calculated ?

Daxtreme

First time out of the vault
Well yeah the thread explains everything.

This is not a Game-Help question !

It's for another reason I wish to know how it works, how the damage calculates if you hit or not the target.

Any ideas ?

EDIT: Move this to the Fallout General Modding forum. :)

AC = AC from armour + AC from AG + AC from unused AP + AC from perks.

It's not overly complicated.

But how does it interact with people trying to hit you?

Where's the attack roll ?

When you play all that you know is "You hit" and "You miss". There is no clue about how did you miss, or how did you hit.

Yes there is a clue.

To-hit-chance in percentage is shown when targetting, up to 95% (higher is impossible). This means there's a 5% chance you'll miss and a certain chance you'll fumble (depending on Luck).

To hit chance (for ranged) works roughly like this...

Your skill (in percentage) - 30 = base to hit. Add 8% for every point of perception. Subtract 4% for every hex distance. Subtract 1% for every Armor Class point of the opponent. Change for modifiers (skills, darkness, sniper scope), but that's the basic computation.

Omg thanks! It's just what I needed! Please don't delete this thread.

Is there a reputation system so I can give you ? :)

I doubt administrators need rep.

and no, there is no rep system other than postcount (which actually has nothing to do with reputation really).

if your a moron, it wont take people long to figure that out. if you're a smart helpful guy, it wont take people long to figure that out either.
