I am interested in the game but I don't actually care all that much about "what you rage against" as I'm more interested in the werewolf's tribal structures and Pentex. I'm really hoping there's an option to side with the Wyrm here and that's a weird way to go with this game.

 

Don't have particularly high hopes for it, never been a fan of werewolf the apocalypse. I'm more into Vampire the Masquerade or Demon the Fallen

So, new Bloodlines-type game is only a question of time, since VtM:B still manages to draw new audience, to Activision's shame and dishonor. Call me stupid but the interview still kinda vague on what this werewolf game will be. Brawler? Isometric RPG? Iso-RPG done by indie-studio? Brawler-RPG? Iso-RPG-Brawler? WTF.

 

I just read some new interview and immediately lost any and all interest. Direct Quote: "The story will be a linear one with the illusion of choice, but the story will still go in the same direction no matter what is said and done. So don't look to be able to join any of the various ones out there to change things up besides the gifts you'll have at your disposal in the game."

As for Linear Story, that may be overstated. After all, Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines has four endings but one single story.

Going by that trailer, I can see why they were so hesitant to show gameplay until now. Without the branding of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, you'd be hard-pressed to identify its source material and instead identify it just by the gameplay styles. In this case, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Devil May Cry.

They could work together, but as I'm also hearing, the 5th Edition of W:TA is supposed to come out around the time of this game's release. And if what we saw with the 5th Edition of V:TM and 2nd Edition of W:TF is anything to go on, we're in for a huge surge of woke from this part of the WOD IP.

 

I am hoping that this is going to be like the CAPTAIN AMERICA: SUPER SOLDIER game, which was Arkham Asylum set in WW2 except with no grappling hooks.

I.e. they've ripped off the gameplay of a much better game and the story isn't shit.

Honestly, I'm not getting that impression so far.

 

Well, the game releases 4 of february, but Epic only, so no money from me. GOG or steam or nothing. Also a trailer:

 

Yeah, EGS exclusivity is bullshit. I'll get it on PS5 instead probably. Might be a free PS+ game at some point too. Who knows? I'm not particulary interesting in giving either Epic or Paradox my money at this point though for anything.
