Thanks a lot Commissar Lauren, I really liked the demo. I just might get that game now. Thanks again, I probably would not have even thought about getting this game without you starting this thread.

Has anyone else picked up a copy of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. I've just returned from the store, actually, I'm a little surprised, I thought the release date was about a week from now (I checked the offical website though, and I was wrong). It's good, comment more once I've played it in depth.

after playing the demo you get "IN STORES: SEPTEMBER 21st" or something like that. how could you miss it?

anyhow, only in stores 24st in Belgium, so i'll have mine tomorrow :)

hopefully tomorrow morning, which means i'll probably have it in about 12 hours (pre-ordered & shipped) :twisted:
 
Quite easily. I don't look at those screens at the end of any demo. After I have played the demo, I've made my judgement if I will buy the game or not. No screen touting the full version of the game will change my mind.

I don't ever pre-order games myself.

Now, now Lauren... remember where you work. You shouldn't blame me.

i dont get "influenced" by those screens either tbh...
it's just that it's pretty hard to miss. usually there's a shitload of crap about features and stuff there, so i dont pay attention, but this time it said "IN STORES:..." in huge letters.

anyhow, i often preorder when i expect a game to be good, extremely fun or a classic. i've preordered FO1, FO2, DiabloII, HL, HL OpFor, Deus Ex1, Arcanum, ToEE, CoD and so on.

some games you just know you'll want. pretty easy too, you order and they ship it to you so you should have it in the morning of the releaseday.

in this particular case i dont expect it to be a classic, nor do i expect it to be extremely good in gameplay or design. i just had a shitload of fun with the demo and expecting to have just as much fun with the full game.

anyhow, bumpin/gravedigging this to find out if any of you made some cool custom badges and banners yet.

looks pretty easy with satisfying results. i haven't made any myself (haven't found anything worth converting yet), but i've leeched a couple good ones.

so how about you guys?
