Difficult...

First time out of the vault
I being playing fallout NV in the normal difficult...the last mission i did was get the nightstalkers eggs...i read in the wiki that the legendary could kill me with 3 or 4 hits and the poison bla bla...but i killed him so easily i have 100 sneak and i just give 2 shots while hidden (1 was in caution) and he was killed (ycs gauss rifle) should i put in hard or very hard??

This game i am doing to now the game...and i have a bad habit of want to get all the unique itens and explore the intire map...made a very good character and everything...in fallout 3 i did an char with 10 all specials (perk + bobblehead) with 100 in everything and all the unique itens possible to catch....after i do this in vegas i will start a new game hardcore and veryhard!!

Try very hard and hardcore mode and no sneak-crits.

Yeah but not using sneak criticals only makes the game harder through arbitrarily difficult means. It adds a false difficulty since the one-on-one combat in New Vegas is rather flawed.

I prefer something like what Project Nevada does where it makes all weapons a lot more effective (on both NPCs and the PC), but makes them a lot harder to use without the proper skills.

But Project Nevada (as example) also adds a lot other stuff to the game, which for me personally would be too much already. I'd still like the game to look and feel like the original.

Project Nevada is 100% toggeable, you can turn off and tune any feature fo the mod within the game itself.

Yeah any features you don't like you can disable from the menu. It does do a lot of cool things though like making weapons more deadly, making a strength based carry weight system, agility based AP point system, bullet time alternative to VATS which arguably works a lot better and feels less like cheating, different "ages" to food (as in your raw brahmin meat will eventually spoil if you keep it too long), iron sights for certain energy weapons such as the laser pistol, etc.

Combine this with Nevada Skies and you have a pretty difficult game. (I really recommend Nevada Skies simply for the darker nights, it gives you a reason to use night vision and makes traveling at night more dangerous like it should be).

Edit: And the grenade hotkey coupled with explosives actually being dangerous and the ability to blow open locks gives you a reason to actually put points into the explosives skill.

No sneak crit...maybe i can try use no guns..only hand...so make it harder....next game i will go very hard and hardcore
