I have a rather unusual problem and I do not know where it lies.
Since I started a new session of FNV I have discovered an increasing number of disappearing no name NPCs.
I know some were removed by patches but the problem has become so serious that even in some areas there is barely any NPC there any more.
For example, I was just at New Vegas North Square and except for the talkie NPCs, there was only a single regular one.
I had to go to an older save, record all NPC codes and manually re insert them as it was plain ridiculous.
And its not just here but also on the Strip where I had to manual bring back background characters.
How do I solve this problem on the long term?
Would I need to make a clean install? And if so what kind of background info also needs to be removed to prevent this from happening again the moment I try to play the game again with a copied save state.
Its honestly to stupid for words and it is freaking annoying.
