Does Fallout 2 have laggy animations?

Hi I started playing Fallout 2 again after some time but I happen to notice that my characters animations are laggy. Game runs smooth I always have 100+fps I have no mouse lag but my character runs very slow and she looks like she's in low frame rate.

I recommend downloading Killap's patch if you don't already have it. It installs the Hi-Res mod which might fix your issue. Vanilla Fallout 1 & 2 aren't friendly with modern PCs and the Hi-Res mod corrects that.

Heavy armor reduces running speed (fps) slightly. Is it the same with no armor?

Animations are slightly faster without Power Armor but there is a difference between "lag" and "slower." With lag you get full stops in the animation, not slower movements.

Well I guess it's not lag but it's the way they are animated. By the way I'm using Restoration Project. It looks like killaps animations are rendered in lower frame rate compared to the originals. It's kinda saddening tho I really like the animations but they bother me and there's no option to use the default animations so I'm stuck with RPs animations.

The RP requires a good PC to run properly. I've seen playthroughs of the RP and the frames run normal or in high speed as some people prefer. I'm guessing it's an issue with your PC.
