True but in Oblivion I never really had the feeling that anything actually happened that I (the player character) didn't cause to happen in one way or another.

Seeing the lone Yao Guai without his owner to me was a nice moment because it meant that someone somewhere (other than myself) killed the scavenger who owned him.

Seeing the results of other NPC actions that aren't specifically scripted is actually pretty cool.

I think I've been pretty fair as far as giving BetSoft credit where they've earned it.
 
You see alot more of that kind of stuff in oblivion than in bethout. Some of it in oblivion was pretty darn hilarious too, such as two hunters fighting over a kill, or bar fights breaking out. This time though, everything just feels much more static and puppet-like.
