First time out of the vault
I've heard so much about this animal, trouble is I can't find him anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ozrat, you might be right about the lyric's in my sig, it's been awhile since I heard the song.
 
Junktown in the top part, to the right of the "entrance" of that map - I think... It's been a while.
 
Hmmm, to be a bit more specific than the two above:

He's in the "casino" or whatever part of Junktown. There's a shack right next to the entrance of Gizmo's casino, with a dog in front of the front door and two people keeping their distance from the dog.

Talk to the man, and he'll ask you to please help him with his dog trouble. Either walk towards the dog wearing a leather jacket (to look like his old owner) or feed him iguana-on-a-stick and he'll follow you 'round.
 
What do you mean I might be right? Of course I'm right! Actually I didn't know that was from a song, but that's the rhyme I've been hearing for years so that's probably how it goes.

As for Dogmeat: Yeah, just listen to what Kharn said and you'll be fine.

I've loaded an old game made right before I pay a fruitful visit to the Cathedral. Having finished off my team with Plasma, I headed to Junktown for no apparent cause. I entered the Casino map from the Crash House map and suddenly I noticed Dogmeat had joined me!

I think it's just a random bug on this map. It's the map with bugs on it.
 
Nah, it was actually nice with some confirmation that it's not just me. I've seen so many bugs on that map which are not caused by the scripts themselves that I started to think they might all be arbitrary and it was pointless to describe any specific ones. But apparently there is some method to the madness.
