Shhh...

Bethesda might hear this, and not get the sarcasm...
Oh right, but I want a car, and possibly a superbike for Christmas, I mean Fallout 3!

My $.02 Worth

Vehicals like Fallout 2 i.e. Faster map travel and are added to the map at the exit grid.

But why not add some variations on the theme.

First "vehical" a mule (the animal) some storage space and only just better than walking, invites NPC comments about the player's ass.

Second Vehical
The Wagon, faster than the mule heaps more storage.

Third
Brahmin methane powered buggy/truck ???

Fourth
A Highwayman

Fifth
A Duece and a half, Slower but lots of space for Stuff

Sixth
Road train with turret, adds a PC friendly turret to the exit grid, slower again, vast amounts of space for stuff.

Seventh
Vertibird or equivilent

Secret vehical
Mad max's car (Falcon ??)

No more than one or two at a time with all travel at the speed of the slowest vehical

Well seeing as it takes over a year to learn to fly a helicopter with instructors and whatnot, I don' think reading a "Vertibirds For Dummys" manual will make you a proficient flyer

How should it be to drive in FO3? Should it be implemented in the original map format, or should you have actual control over the car?

i would wish an real "vox-like" oldtimer, where you just can sit down, put your items in the trunk, fill up your car with some oil, which you traded or found in the wasteland and just cruise through. only next important thing to me is, that the car makes a really nice sound and doesn not drove too fast, i prefer a slow "ZZ-Top Lowrider" - Feeling.

the car-feature would have the potential for some nice quests, which emil would write. :P

Correction - reading the same magazine over and over again made you more proficient :P!

So you mean if I read the Playboy over and over I become a sexpert? :P

Or would I start growing tits... :?

That depends. I generally see it as reading a different edition of the same magazine, really.

I think that was just a way to show BOOK READ, NO FURTHER NEED. Amen. Otherwise the PC would be a walking library.

I agree to have a car but ONLY one which would be very hard to get and the quest should be optional.

Beth will insert cars in the game, only for us to pay afterwars 3 $ for new car texture packs, new skirts, wide rims, cool looking hoods and air scoops.

hey!! Its a honest buck!
