Dubstep - Dubstep is music centred around bass.

It draws on many musical influences. Such influences include, dub, reggae, d'n'b, jungle, UK garage, grime, techno and IDM.

Usually around 140bpm in tempo, the unifying sounds within dubstep are always bass and sub-bass.

The music ranges in style from melodious instrumentals to dark, techy and distorted numbers.

Many UK grime mc's also mc over dubstep tracks, although grime and dubstep should not be confused.

Dubstep is usually mellow and generally has a well paced structure to each song. Grime beats are generally more disjointed, the overall production level being grittier than that in dubstep.

My favorite song is the one that goes "wub wub wub." I forgot what it's called, but man, each time it went "wub" I was like "this song is great."

If you haven't got anything to say, don't post. Lurk before you post to make sure your post has something contributing to say.

I agree, that song is amazing.

It's almost as good as that Bob Dylan album where he rambles nonsensical lyrics over folksy guitar music.

That was completely hilarious.

Don't care much about dubstep. It's music for clubs and discos and meant to be played ridiculously loud, and since I don't go into clubs and discos, I don't listen to dubstep at all.
It is one of the more interesting forms of electronic music, though.
There have been some cool dubstep remixes of Meshuggah songs, which are kinda weird because Meshuggah are usually heavier and more complex than the covers :D

In my opinion more dubstep remixes are better than straight dubstep songs, and I've heard a Meshuggah remix and i though it was going to be utter shit because i thought heavy metal and heavy bass don't go together, and i was completely wrong.

And for trailers of popamole reboots of classic Bullfrog games.

I didn't know what dubstep was before I saw that travesty and someone made a comment about the atrocious music they used.

It cant be as good as that one nu-metal song with repetive and irratating riffs, deridable forced angst lyrics, bad singing, and an undeniable lack of talent.

Haha. Leaving aside the game itself, do you realize that the music is the original Syndicate theme from 1993, just a bit remixed (awesomely, I might add)?

So what about Skrillex?

He is getting alot of attention here in Norway.
