EA desecrate Godfather

It could turn out to be something of above-average quality, for two reasons in my opinion:
1) It's not like they chose to take over some crappy {whatchumacallit}-man movie, it's one of the best movies ever made.
2) It's an M-rated game, which means blood, murder, violence...

P.S. And the screenshots look nice too!
 
All of the pics so far are renders. However, they are considered Xbox 2 projections. Apperantly that's how the game will look on xbox 2. It's in a recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. Seeing the game in motion is weird too, they use a noise filter, kinda like Silent Hill games, but much less noticible, to create that grainy 1970's film look. So far it looks to be ok, there's turf war, a gauge of respect, for example you have to have a certain level of respect for people to take you seriously, and SUPPOSEDLY a world A.I. so that your respect and actions are tied into all NPC's reaction of you... like Fable... if Fable had done that.

But I'm still hung, E.A. makes some crap action titles. I'll wait for all the reviews to flood in before I even think about renting it.
 
EA sucks, their games are pure commercial shit , so, I suppose that this one is not going to be different.

EA wants to be the Micro$oft for the games industry. :evil:

As a publisher they publish both great and crappy games. To peginion hole all their games is kinda silly and immature.

Are they about making money? Yup, they ar,e and they do a good job of it by giving gamers what they want.

As for The Godfather game, mafia/crime game genres aren't my cup of tea; but this game's graphics look pretty good. It also seems to have captured the atmosphere right.

Good job, thus far, EA.

EA fucked some of the greatest developers like Looking Glass, Bull Frog, Jane's Combat Simulations, Westwood and, of course, Origin.
EA try to get all the games market for PC and they only wants "casual" games, so, I don't expect anything good from EA.
I don't remember a good game from EA last year... NHL Hockey, may be

That's your problem. I liked FIFA, NHL, Madden, and MVP Baseball. Mind you, their NBA game sucked big time. *puke*

Most of those games have their superiors. PES4 is vastly superior to FIFA in almost every single way. NHL and Madden are rumoured to have their betters in Sega games, if I recall correctly (although I can't confirm that, since I played neither those games nor the Sega games), I haven't heard anything about NBA.

No, casual just means uninspired, repetitive drivel that most people will swallow. Granted, that's not the same as bad.

False. However, people bashing the 'masses' does fit under your description.

Casual is exactly what it is casual. A game like Gauntlet is casual; but it was neither uninspired or repetitive drivel.

And, I wouldn't exactly call the good EA Sports games casual either.

There's also a difference between being made commercial and being robbed and fucked over, as EA did to almost EVERY development house that has dealt with them for any length of time. It has been known that EA fucks over their development houses for more than a decade already, and in a consistent manner that does nothing but harm the true creativity in the industry.

I am sorry that I have to yet again be the one who lets you in on old news again, Volourn.
 
I just can't stand the motherfucking EA games screen and Intel screen that come up when I boot up MOH:PA. And you can't esc through them! WTF!

That annoyance right there precludes me from purchasing anything else from EA for a long time.
