KK Raven, here's what I've found from a quick Google of it:
From a study in the IQ's of children (seems to indicate that
Girls are smarter, but that could just be in children)
Boys
Girls
From "Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, Jan, 1998,":
Lynn and Mulhern's (1991) study demonstrated that males (of various ages) do actually have overall higher IQs than females, though they show a greater variability in scores. The differences are, however, very small: less than 2 IQ points (males = 101.16; females = 99.38), but these results do seem to indicate males score more highly on intelligence tests than females.
From STRAIGHT TALK by A. Jensen
While both sexes have average scores of 100, the men's scores include more extreme cases. Men are overrepresented among the super smart--above IQ 140 there appear to be at least 20% more men than women.
From THE INTELLIGENCE CONTROVERSY by Eysnck
There are 37% more men at IQ levels above 132.
From A Question of Intelligence, Daniel Seligman, 1992.
20% more men than women score above IQ 140 and below IQ 60.
Mostly seem to be saying that the averages are about the same, but men differ more.
Conlusion:
A) You are lying
B) You are mistaken
C) Illustrated Science are lying
D) Illustrated Science are mistaken
E) The survey is flawed
Unless anyone can find other eevidence or debunk my (not well researched at all) evidence, this should end the derail of this thread.
