So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
What stats affect how soon new heavier equiptment becoms avalible at the bunker ?


Usualy, I dont find energy weapons avalible until after the first reaver mission.
 
Why your rank, silly goose. If you want to get the better gear faster take the brown noser perk, im not sure how many times you can take it but every rank you get, you gain access to better equiptment
 
Ive tried that. Wanderd the wasted encountering massive ammounts of beastlords for a while, and got to be general thru brownnoer.


Still didnt even ever see a gauss minigun, just a gauss pistol.


In all 7 playthrus of tactics so far (rest got interrupted due 2 hard drive failure problem i was having a few months back) Ive never got anu gauss miniguns, and a gauss riffle twice.


And I never get the option for big guns til after hte first super mutant missions. (Though I usualy steal the generals minigun)
 
Heh..ive also never seen a gauss minigun besides in multy. Maybe you need to find it on a mission or somthin or maybe its just in multy?

EDIT: I recall some way of begin able to get equipt weapons off somone by using drugs on them and having them be unconsious and stealing or somthing like that....im going to test this now. If it works then that means you can get a m60 after mission 1.
 
Aha, i was messin around in the mission editer(where i just created this new av BTW) and i made 20 vodoos on the ground in the first bos bunker, you can overdose certain people it seems and have them die without gettin kicked out when you exit. Isnt my av nifty? If anyone would like me to make em a fallout av just PM me.
 
I don't think that anything affects the weapons you get at the BOS bunker, only the level you are in the mission. For example, you get to buy 2 more sniper rifles after St. Louis, never fails.
 
Me thinks the charisma only affects how many new recruist you get at the...uh...well at the dude where you can choose your squad at. Dun think it has anything to do with the equipments at the quartermaster or at the medical officer. And the NEVER restock their stock. Sooooooo stupid.
 
Yeah, when I come aginst something in a mission, NOT a spec encounter, I start seeing it in stock afterwards.


Is it the rescue the merchant mission were you find the gauss, or another one ?
 
gauss what? pistol, rifle or minigun? The ammo is quite scarce (or is it scarse?) so spend it wisely. And the merchants NEVER restock their stock.
 
The gauss minigun can be found somewhere in the end of the game. And the mega-super-hyper-central vault or was it on a robot map. Can't remember right. But I had it before I went in to the vault. Pretty sure about that.
 
Yeah, the squad leader for the squad that's allready in vaul0 when you arrive has one, but since I like to semi RP (even if tactics inst an RP game) Ive never 'accadently' hit him with burst fire to get it yet.

Yeah, I think i bought it from him. Or did I steal it from him. Anyways, it's silly. When you steal their ammo they will run at the enemy and start punching and kicking them. Hilarious. 8)
 
You can either get it from a robot during that mission with the trader and the General, or get it from the squad leader at the end.

If you want the one the squad leader has, you can barter away all his ammo, then he'll unequip it and you can barter it off him.
