As the sun broke through the buildings the next morning rays of light shown down on Yolo and Hank. Hank had fallen asleep against the building in the same protective arms crossed stance as he had fallen asleep in. Yolo curled up in the fetal position next to the tire on the wagon. The Ghoul was the first to wake coming down and breathing in the cool morning air and taking in the beutiful cyan blue sky.

He lit up a cigarette that he had swiped out of one of the bar attenders ears and knudged Hank. Hank opened his eyes, his expression hardly changing as he took in his suroundings and had a moment to put together where he was and how he came to be here.

He scratched the back of his neck. "Where are the others?"

The Ghoul took a drag and nodded upstairs small trails of smoke escaping an open hole in the rotted flesh of his neck.

"Will you go round them up while I rouse this yahoo" Hank asked The Ghoul while looking down at the slumbering Yolo. The ghoul nodded and walked upstairs.

Hank could see through the breaks in the buildings that a storm was headed from the west. He knew that they should try to make as much ground into the city before it hit. Part of his was assured of this sight as traveling through a dusty waste land would soon become trudging through a muddy mess. They would have no problem catching the Raider party traveling over the black road.

When they were all together Lorkin explained what he knew of the GunMen of Sacramento and they continued on.

It wasnt long before they started to bite into the heart of the city. The storm had come in and was currently pelting every one with large drops of rain. They sky had turned a sinister deep grey giving the illusion that night had come early. The blocks became smaller and the buildings bigger as they entered ground zero as it was labeled by some graphity over a welcome sign.

In the center of the city people acted different. They seemed to have a confidence and security about them. Men of all statures dressed in heavy metal armor posed as the law inforcement of the town. Every one was hungry and so the group decided to take a break and get a bite to eat. Perhaps some one could provide them with more information as to where they could offload these weapons...

The grey haze hung in the air obscuring the tall buildings left from before the war. Suprisingly Sacramento was one major city that had survived virtualy unmarred. Most roadways were still intact aswell as the cities downtown area.

The rain was starting to form puddles in the street. Rivers of rushing water ran down alongside the curbs of the streets into drains. Splash, the wagon tire crossed one such river as The Ghoul pulled it into an alley. Despite the rain people were still rushing around trading. Adolecent boys pushed carts full of farmed goods and medical items from various buildings.

"Well guys lets scour the area for information" Lordek proposed.

The others agreed pulling what clothing they had around themselves. There was a bar, a hotel, a medical supply shop, what apeared to be some sort of book store, farm shop as well as other buildngs in the area. Each person picked his desired location and made way towards it.

Hank walked into the medical supply shop scanning the walls wich were lined with racks and rows of stimpacks, medic bags, and bandages. A medics dream this shop had it all. A wide grin crossed his face as his eyes glazed over in euphoria.

Behind him Yolo continued down the city sidewalk into the next building a general store. Here every thing sat behind glass in large cases through out the store. A shop over sat at the far end of the building and greeted Yolo warmly. Yolo looked up and smiled at the man scanning the cases. After not to long he came across a case lined with ammo ammo boxes, extra magazines.
"Bingo." Where thers smoke theres fire he thought looking at the cases of bullets. He turned his head up to the shop keeper who was walking towards him to try and assist the potential sale.

Yolo came in close and said in hushed tones, "Know where I could get some fire arms for these?"

The shop keeper stood upright looking down at the still hunched in Yolo.
"Get out my store."

"But sir, I ment no disrespect its a fair question."

"Look boy, this town dont deal in arms, we had 'nough trouble with those things."

"Oh I see, well how do you defend your selves and your buisnesses?"

"Our police force do carry weapons, and some heavy ones. They make quick work of any of those gang bangers that try creepin over from J st. Thats for damn sure"

Yolo smiled at his aquisition of the information he was looking for. Turning his attentions to the other wall where hand held weapons were prominant.

"How much for these?"

Mernwhile Sasha had entered a local bar. Spoting two rough looking men she forced a seat between them brushing against both.

"Excuse me gentle men." She said sweetly ordering a drink. The men taken by a woman in their grizzly precense began smiling wickedly. Sasha had aranged her button up shirt so that a large majority was clevage. She had found in the wastelands and more civilized parts alike that fleshy crack was a powerful motivator for information.

"You boys wouldnt know where to get some fire arms would you?" He asked keeping up the bright eyed cutesy rutine. The men were dumbfounded and only managed to spit out fragments of sentances.

"We got.. back at our place..."

"What?" she said arching her back.

That was it, an audible click was herd from one of the mens heads as he spit out the exact location of their bosses headquarters.

Dropping the act she promply buttoned up her shirt and began to leave the bar.

"Wait a minute!" One of the men yelled grabbing her by the shoulder. She turned around grabbing his wrist and spinning him to the ground. The other man stood there wide eyed and suprised as she turned to him and planted the heel of her boot squarly in his genitalia. The first man started to get up and she steped back and kicked him in the face. Both men lay unconcious as she walked out.

Just as she was about to walk out the door she herd the framiliar click of a desert eagle. she turned around slowly to see a very tall man dressed darkly standing behind her. he was wearing a black trench coat draped over his shoulders and a black had with round dark glasses.

"Keep walking" he said in a low smooth voice. Sasha did as he instructed with the inmistakable feeling she had a gun to her back.
"Go where I say as I say it understood?"

She nodded and they made their way down the street.

The Ghoul who had been watching the wagon saw Sasha from across the way walking out with the man and knew somthing was up. He started to sneak away from the wagon telling Sam to stay put.

He watched and folllowed taking note of streets and guard posts and the dark man led her into gang territory and to a dark unmarked building.

"I think we found our weapons dealer" He said to himself. and made his way back to the wagon.

After The Ghoul came back to camp and every one returned from their shopping experience stocked with armor, ammo and medical supplies he told them what he saw. Feeling invinsable in a new suite of metal plated armor Yolo proposed that they rush the building. Hank looked at him disaprovingly.

"Rush the building?!? Are you insane!?" Hank scolded Yolo.

"What about Sasha?" Yolo demanded. "Are we just going to sit here and leave her to the gangsters?! In case you forgot, we ARE trying to intercept a slave caravan" he continued.

Hank stepped back a bit and a worried look came over his face.

"No." he said. "We're not going to just leave her there."

Lorkin chimed in, "But Hank's right. just bargin in there is just asking for death. We need to come up with a better idea."

"Maybe we could trade weapons for Sasha." The Ghoul suggested.

"That's an idea," Lorkin said. "But we don't even know what he wants to do with her."

"Yeah, for all we know, she could be dead already!" Yolo said with a scowl.

Just then, the two thugs that Sasha has beaten earlier came saggering out of the bar. One was walking bowlegged, holding his crotch.

"Oh man! What'd she do dat fer?" said the one that got kicked in the crotch.
His accomplice, Frankie, was looking at his reflection in a puddle.

"Hey, at least you don't gots no freakin boot print on ya face, Lou!"

"Nah, I got it on my boys!" Lou said stooping over.

Lorkin Hank and Yolo all looked at each other. "Sasha!" they all said at the same time.

"Those guys have to know where she is" Hank said.

"But how do we use them to find Sasha?" asked Yolo

"I've Got it!" Lorkin exclaimed. "One of the people I talked to earlier today told me that Dante, the south side dealer, kidnapped Karl's, the northside dealer, Daughter."

The others stared at him with blank expressions

"These guys work for Karl!" he continued "If we can get Karl's daughter back, we can trade her for Sasha!"

"But how are we going to get Karl's daughter?" asked Yolo.

"I'm not sure yet, but I think we need to arrange a meeting with Karl" said Lorkin.

"Agreed" said Hank.

"well, then let's go!" Yolo said.

"Ghoulie? You wanna keep an eye on Sam?"

"Very well. I'd prefer not to be involved in this anyway." said The Ghoul.

Sam was sitting under the wagon, making mudcakes.

And so Yolo, Lorkin and Hank set off to catch up to Lou and Frankie to arrange to talk to Karl.

Hank Lourdek and Yolo caught up to Frank and Lou and quickly convinced the hesitant gangers to bring them to Karl figuring if they were enemies they would quickly be disposed of in the heart of enemy gang land.

They marched quite upright to a Brick building showing no signs of weekness. Once inside they were led down through musty cement walls lit by old hanging automotive lights. The near silence wirr of a fusion generator hummed some where in the maze of hallways.

At the back of a building a door with two guards holding shotguns greeted them ominously. As they aproached one of the guards began to pat them down.

"We are all armed." stated Hank bluntly not wanting to set off any false impressions.

The guards disarmed them and they were ushered into Karls office.

Inside sat Karl at a large sturdy desk. His office was fairly barren. A few paintings hung on red brick walls. On the wall opposite his desk was a large blood stain giving proof to his gangster reputation.

"You're Karl I assume." Lead Hank

"Yes." The large man said. Karl sat appraising each member in the room. Unlike most mob bosses Karl was not a fat sweating cigar smoking pig. He gave off the apearance more of a bouncer than a boss. He had short brown hair and eyes that pierced confidence like a blade. He leaned forward on his desk head lowering between his massive shoulders.

"Thank you for seeing us Karl we have come to ask a favor of you."

"Cut the shit and get out with it."

Hank looked at Yolo and Lordek as if communicating without words before turning back to Karl.

"My name is Hank and this is Yolo and Lorkin, we understand that your daughters been kidnapped."

Karls face softened some what taking on a look of stern concern.

"Yes have you learned any thing of her?"

"Yolo stepped forward I have learned that she is alive and is being kept in a building on J street."

Hank tightened somewhat knowing that Yolo was telling only half truths, hopfully they wouldnt get Sasha killed.

"We also know that earlier today one of your men captured our friend after she laid boot into your lackies back there. Here is our proposal. Your daughter for our friend."

Karl leaned in his face worried and honest. "Boy if you bring her back I'll give you any thing you want, weapons, armor money you name it as well as your friend."

"Would you be willing to issue some of your men to help us?"

Karls face straitened as he sat back in his chair.
"Quite honestly boys this is a suicide mission, and my man power does not allow for such disposibility. If you survive it will be quite worth your while. Early on in our war with the Needles both sides aquired some pretty hi-tech armor and weapons. But the use of such high tech equipment is a big red flag for the Brotherhood. Quite frankly Id rather have my daughter than power armor or Plasma pistols."

Yolo's eyes gleamed at the thought.

"Alright we will return your daughter. We can discuss terms further when we return."

Karl nodded and they started to walk out.

"Hey!" Karl shouted agressivly. "Keep her safe alright?"
Hank nodded. "You have my word."

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Mar-06-03 AT 11:41PM (GMT)]In the alleyways they three spoke about what was to come...

"So where exactly is this building Yolo?" Hank asked sarcasticly

"I learned that the Needles base is some where on J street. I would think it'd be pretty easy to spot it."

"So you are proposing we barge in then?"

"Well not necisarily. Maybee we could make it like we have buisness there already. We do have a huge cart of weapons."

Hank nodded "This is true, I am kind of uneasy about this though."
Hank breathed deep. "I feel like we are walking into a bad situation, but we got to do it."

When they returned to the wagon the ghoul was reading inside.
They explained their plan to him.
"The more people we have in this the better chance we have of them not just slaughtering us all."

Every one agreed and they suited up to make themselves look as meen as possible.

20 minutes later they were marching with their wagon down J street. Ahead they could see people walking in and out of a particular building. The ghoul noted snipers up on the roofs of buildings around the area.

"Dont try any thing funny guys" Hank warned.

Soon they were greeted by a few men.

"What is your buisness here?" One shouted his shotgun held across his chest. Two other guards had guns aimed the entire time.

"We have come to barter with Dante."

The guards looked at eachother
"Give us your weapons."
Hank resisted, "We are not stupid. We will stay armed. We only want to lighten our load and get out of this town."

The guards aprehensivly accepted and lead them back behind the aparent headquarters of the gang. They were lead down into a parking garage. They stood there alone in low light with pilars all around them. Hank tension was eased by the lack of blood and shell casings that would normaly symbolize a upcoming slaughter area.

After a few minutes 10 guys came down into the only entrance to the underground garage. To the back a door allowed access to what was assumed by the group to be the headquarters. Behind the gangers coming were two men that stood out. One a tall muscularly built man in metal armor. The other an over weight pig of a mob boss.

The gangsters surounded our group. All stood stead fast accept for Sam who was very physcialy shaken by the amount of artilery pointed at him. Dante eyed Sam in a way that made every one, even the gangsters uneasy.

"is he cheking him out?" yolo thought to himself.

Dante was balding and had multiple chins. He was wearing grey trousers and a maroon vest over a white long sleeve shirt. His assistant wearing metal armor had the shiney black surface of vinal underneath his armor. He had short cut dark hair that was obviously dyed. Neatly groomed facial hair covered his face in a neat mustache and goate.

"Dante, We've come into town understanding that your the man incharge of arms around these parts."

Dante smiled looking at his musclar right hand man knowing that his reputation had spread to a pleasing level.

"Show me what you've got"

They opened the wagon to show them separated stacks and rows of different rifles pistols and ammo they have come across.

"Its worth easily 20,000 caps" offered Hank.

Dante scoffed and then paused. "Tell you what, you've got a deal, but I want the boy too." He said pointing his cane at Sam.
Sam already scarred by physical abuse started shaking back and forth completely terrified.

"Deal." Hank said uncaringly.

"NOOOOoo!!!!" Sam screemed as two men seized him and bound his hands and mouth.

"No no, let him scream. I like to here them scream" Instructed Dante.

"Show them out boys"

With that Dante and his assistant walked to the back through the door along with Sam. The rest drove the wagon towards the entrance.

"Great now we they have Two hostigas!" Yolo said under his breath to Hank.

"No, now we have a man on the inside." Hank smiled slyly and looked over at Lorkin who stood on the opposite side of the wagon as Yolo.

They all nodded to each other and pulled their guns up. Even the ghoul took part in the carnage that was to folow pulling out his own SMG and spraying it at those ahead blindly. Luck was with him and shots entered and exploded out the front of the gangers heads.
Before the other guards could even react they were mowed down by the suprise attack. Those who were knocked down were quickly excecuted and stripped of their ammo and weapons wich were thrown into the wagon along with the bodies.

The Ghoul parked the wagon in the shadows just to the side of the enterance and they sat momentarily huddled waiting for other gangers who would surely investigate.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Mar-06-03 AT 11:42PM (GMT)]Inside the building Dante sat waiting and listening.

Gunfire quickly echoed through out the walls of the parking garage that he knew was very sound proof to the outside world.

He giggled in delight knowing that his men had just finished off the weapons dealers. He smiled and turned to Sam who had stopped yelling and was now quivering tears shaking from his eyes.

"Now that your friends are finished I have you all to myself. Dave show him to my office and wait for me outside. I have big plans for you my dear." he said raising Sams face to his own with his pinky.

Sam was escourted through the celars of the building to an office where his bindings were taken off aswell as clothes and weapons. Dave chuckled and walked out.

Before too long Dante entered the room hodling various sexual instraments. He now was only wearing the maroon vest. Behind him were three other half nude muscular men wearing eye liner.

Down the hall from Dante's "Office" Karl's daughter, Elise, was locked in a cold, damp and windowless room. She sat huddled in a corner with her head buried in her knees, the same way she had passed countless other days since that fat son of a mutant Dante had kidnapped her.
Suddenly she was roused by the sound of gunshots. A firefight? Inside the building? What was going on, she wondered, and moved over next to the door to try and listen better.

__________________________________________

Lorkin peeked out from behind the cart to survey the fight. He counted three gurads taking shelter behind a doorway at the end of the garage, and two more creeping up along the ground towars the wagon, weapons drawn. he did not see any other guards.

"Ok boys, looks like we might pull this one out. We've got 3 hunkered down in the doorway and a couple more coming up on our left. So here's what I think we should do..."

The other three listened intently and nodded while Lorkin explained the plan to them, suddenly Lorkin grabbed a pistol, reached around the corner of the wagon and fired several shots. A soft *whump* of a dead body hitting the floor could be heard above the *clink* of shells hitting the concrete.

"Guess I misscounted earlier" said Lorkin.

The others looked at him dumbfounded.

"Anyway," he continued, "So that's what we need to do. Everyone got it?"

They all nodded.

"Ok then." Lorkin said "Wish me luck" he said. then he reloaded his pistols, gave them all a wink and got ready.

He peeked around the wagon for a moment, and just before he was greeted with a rain of gunfire from the doorway, he saw what he needed.

He took a deep breath and drew his pistols.

Lorkin dashed from behind the wagon, firing into the doorway. Then he did a diving roll to the ground, picked up a dead body in his left arm and used it for a shield and made his way behind a stone pillar.
It worked, the bullets arriving from the doorway as he was dasing to the pillar were absorbed by the dead guard, leaving Lorkin virtuall unscathed, save for one bullet that penetraded and grazed his forearm.

While the three in the doorway were distracted by Lorkin's daring move, Yolo hank and the ghoul pushed the wagon slowly forward towards the doorway.

Lorkin looked over at the wagon and waited for it to get into position. when it was ready, Hank gave him a Thumbs-up.
Lorkin pulled a grenade from his belt that he had gotten from Karl, and lobbed it into the doorway. The three guards watched it said past them and ricochet off the wall, landing mere feet from them.

They all ran out into the open garage, and just then, Lorkin, Yolo, Hank and The ghoul stepped out to greet them, weapons drawn.

The three guards dropped their guns and put their hands up.

Phase 1 complete, Lorkin thought to himself as he walked cautiosly to the doorway and picked up the grenade, it's pin still intact. He looked back at the 3 guards,

"You know, these things really aren't that dangerous with this thing still here" he said, pointing at the pin and laughing.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Mar-08-03 AT 06:21AM (GMT)]Dante was in his "office" preparing for a "meeting" with Sam, when he was abruptly interrupted by a knock at his door.

"WHAT?!?" he barked furiously at the interruption.

his door opened halfway and a guard stepped into view.

"Sir! we've finished off the dealers." he said nervously

"Yes I know!" fumed Dante, "Can't you see that I'm busy?!?"

"Sir..." the guard stammered

"WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?!?" Dante screamed.

"B-b-bec-ca-cause, they... they--"

The guard was cut short as gunshots rang out and several bullets tore through his throat, sending blood spattering throughout the room.

Dante raised his hands to block the spray, and the door was kicked open to reveal Hank, Lorkin, Yolo and the ghoul standing behind, weapons drawn.

"Looks like your meeting's been cut short!" Yolo said.

"We changed our mind. And we thin we've got a better deal." Hank began "How about we keep our guns, and we take our boy back, and we want Karl's daughter. We'll give you... say... your miserable excuse for a life."

Lorkin moved in and pressed a pistol against Dante's temple.
"Well?!" he asked "Do we have a deal?"

Dante nodded slowly, whimpering as tears poured from his eyes.
"y-y-yes... just don't... don't kill me!" he whined

"Take us to the girl!" Hank commanded.

As dante began to lead them down the hall to the cell where Elise was being held, the ghoul gathered up Sam and found his clothes.

Dante stopped in front of the door and dug out a keyring from his vest pocket.
At the sound of the door being unlocked, Elise scurried away, back to her corner, thinking Dante was coming for her again.

"th-there. now let me go" Dante pleaded.

"Oh, you're job's not done yet." Lorkin said "Open the door, nice and slow" he ordered as he grabbed Dante and help the pistol at the back of his head"

Yolo and Hank flanked him and had their pistols aimed at the doorway.
Dante opened the door slowly, and Elise whimpered softly as she saw the Dante's large frame in the doorway.

"There" Dante said. "Take her, and leave."

"Elise?" Hank asked

"Wh-Who's there?" she replied meekly

"We're friends of your father's come to rescue you"

"Oh thank God!" she cried and ran towards the door.

After she was safely out, Lorkin shoved the fat crime boss into the cell shot him in the leg.

Dante wailed in agony.

"Karl will be back for you later, I'm sure, you fat son of a cockroach!" Lorkin said as he slammed the door and locked it.

Their mission complete, they loaded up the wagon and headed back to Karl.

With Dante locked up and the only key to his stoney cell in the wagon with the group all apeared in order. Making their way out of enemy territory was less difficult than expected. Aparently not many gangers inhabited the lower levels of the building nor did the upper level guards hear the multiple fire fights in the parking garage. Casualy they strolled down J street and back to Karls Pad.

"Oh thank god you're alright!" Karl exclaimed embrasing his daughter
Still shooken up Elise was held in his arms bawling.
"What I have hear is not nearly enough to repay you, but perhaps you can use it."
Still holding his daughter close he lead them down the hall and into a room behind a metal fire door. Once inside a large arsenal of weapons and armor could be viewed on multiple racks behind chainlinked fence. Every one spread out through the racks discarding old weapons and picking up newer more efficiant fire power armor and ammo.

Karl took Hank into the back of the room

"As I said..." Karl said as he opened a large safe. Inside the safe was two very good conditioned suites of power armor. In another compartment lay a half dozen pistols.

"These will take down a supermutant with one shot and turn his insides to goo." Karl explained.

Quite pleaseed they graciously accepted the gift and loaded it into their wagon. Karl paid them a large sum of money in addition to the weapons for returning his daughter.

The group departed out of the city just as dusk began to fall. The rain had cleared up and now the usual brown haze hung in the air as they made their way towards the raiders. Every one struted feeling proud and powerful in new armor that gave them quite an apearance. The ghoul sat armorless in the back of the wagon. He was devising a plan to mount a heavy mini-gun to the roof of the wagon.

"Finaly all that science payin off" Yolo muttered into the night.

As they continued through the urban sprawl a new sound broke the silence, an engine. Up ahead they could hear multiple engines motoring around a speed way. They looked down off an over pass to see a group of men racing speeder buggies on abandoned freeways. They ghoul suggested motorizing the wagon.

"Motorizing the wagon would not only increase our speed but it would also give us additional fire power." the ghoul pitched.

"We do have a bunch of caps left over from the weapons sales" Hank thought to himself.

Having decided Hank led the wagon down to the men.

Circle pits of men on either side of the track greeted them with smiles. Not at all adverse to spectators they welcomed the interested party to come and watch. Hank noticed a group of ghouls working the engines of a buggie off to the side.

"Maybee you would want to talk to those guys" He suggested to The Ghoul.

The Ghouls eyes lit up with people of his own kind. Ghouls were not as common as normies in the waste land, and science and machine oriented ones were an especial rarety.

He spent the afternoon with the other mechanics while the others watched the races cheering and enjoying the afternoon. Hank was starting to get anxious by dusk but The Ghoul assured him that they would make up any lost time once they were on the road.

Welders and cutting torches sparked in the night long after the others had fallen asleep. Finaly at 3 in the morning The Ghoul came running into camp.

"Couldnt this have waited til morning?" Yolo complained though sleepy eyes

"But thats the beuty part." The Ghoul said with childish glee in his eyes.

With that Giant flood lights lit up the entire camp silueting the ghoul and his silly expression.

Hank shot up with a fury. "Good God the bombs are droppin again!"

Every one laughed at him and The Ghoul told them to get in. They did and found that the open bed of the wagon had been transformed. Not only was it extended to house a large gas tank, but it acomidated seating for 7 and adequate storage for spare guns along with gun mounts for their personal weapons. Every one was impressed.

No one had seen The Ghoul act in this manner, he was chipper excited and for once lively. He roared the engine and took off into the night laughing histaricly.

The sun sat burning bright in the sky overhead. The rains from the previous days left the streets covered with a layer of mud and earth, but it was no matter the tires were equiped for desert running and the ghoul made quick work of them in the night. The travelers woke to the sound of mud flapping up into the wheele wells. The ghoul, still high on his technological marvel, sat high on the seat of the vehicle.

They were now out of the city and making progress forward. The high-noon sun baked the earth to a solid state. The interstate that had formerly provided a smooth easy trip had become so deteriorated and covered with earth that it was easily smoother to travel off road. out the windows Yolo could see desert brush flying by. An occasional pack of mutated jackrabits raced along side the buggy.

While the tracks they had followed before were washed away in the rains a thick pair of tire marks let them know they were ahead. Hank advised every one in back to be ready incase they came apon something or some one. No sooner had he spoke than the Ghoul shouted back to them and slowed the transport to a stop.

The group got out and serveyed off in the distance a thick dust cloud marking the party they were searching for. Weapons were drawn loaded and cocked in anticipation of the up coming battle. A night attack was suggested by Yolo. Hank pondered over it and thought rushing them now would prove more effective. The Ghouls face lit up once more pointing out man mounts on the sides of the vehicle.

Every one climbed onto their respective mounts Sam taking the roof gunner position.

"Ready?"
"Ready!" they all shouted in unicin. With that the ghoul gunned it making every one holding on hold on a little tighter as they spead towards their target. The shrubs zoomed by faster than before and dust kicked at their waste. The cloud came closer and closer until forms could be made out. They were completely unsuspecting. Not even the rear sentury was aware of them.

Gritting their teeth they readied themselves.

They raced toward the train of slaves and commanders. Every one knew the plan. As the Ghoul maxed the buggy out they would pick off commanders and hopfuly the slaves would have enough sense to hit the deck when guns went off.

The train was within the ghouls range. He pushed his rotting booted foot to the floor. A large backfire shot off alerting the guards prematurly. As expected the slaves hit the deck, there was still a chance their supirior speed could save this bumbled atempt.

Raiders shot openly at the buggy bullets now riddled the hull. It seemed with each raider that fired another fell to the attackers gunfire. The lead commander sat at the head of the train watching all of this take place as the buggy raced towards him. He crouched down in anticipation. Glistening slave bodies wized by in the sun as blood splattered about. they were running out of ammo, but luckily the head of the train was near and it would allow them time to reload.

As they passed the raider leader he jumped up tackling Sasha to the ground. Her auto-shoty lost in the scuffle, he now held her captive. The car drove out of sight. A blood trail followed some one had been hit.

With a substantial amount of raiders left unharmed and a prisoner from the attacking party in captivity, the commander knew he had the upper hand. They would not leave their friend. The raider commander ordered the slaves to circle the guards and their captive.

"Any one crouching laying or hunching their shoulders will be shot! You hear me!" the raider leader barked.

Sasha could see dust and smoke aproaching. The raider leader grinned his big grin. The slaves quivered panicing that another asault was on the way.

Dust blew across the bodies of the slaves and raiders as the car pulled up. The raider was the first to speak.

"All of you throw down your weapons or she dies."

"What makes you think we really care for her?" Hank bluffed.

"Dont consider me a fool scrapper. I know you care for her or you would have left her to die. Now, guns down."

The group looked to Hank and he nodded in agreement throwing down his riffle. The rest followed his lead.

"Now enter the circle, and dont try any thing. Boys ready them for transport."

All accept the ghoul walked through the dust into the circle as they were completely disarmed including the power armor they yolo had grown so fond of. One of the raiders whispered somthing to the commander pointing at the ghoul. Before the commander could even shout an order the ghoul took off across the desert.

A lead ball dropped in Hanks stomach. He always had his doubts about The Ghoul. Now they were confirmed. Once again they were slaves...

"Four of 'em, not bad." The raider leader bragged to his second in command. Sasha Yolo Hank and Lorkin stoon in front of the appraising eyes of the raider slave drivers.

Yolo knew his grizzley mug well having worked under him for years, though the raider leader would not know him from any of the other facless slaves he looked over.

"Pack 'em up!" The second called to those controlling the slave squads. "Put the newbies in lead pull." The leader said with an evil smirk.

The second in command led them back through the downed lifeless bodies, there they saw their first glimpse of the artilery. A giant war head as tall as a man and equaly wide sat on a flatbed trailer that had been rigged to harnesses. A large nuclear symbol was on the side marking it a special type of armament, very rare in these times.

No one spoke to each other as they were chained to the trailer. Yolo cursed as he was fitted to pull this beast, Hank was just thankful that the hills were behind them and that only open wasteland lay ahead.

"Drive!" the commands voice cracked like a whip. The clatter of chained shackles sounded as the long train of slaves trudged forward.
Yolo looked at the ground and saw a trail of blood. They were past the bodies now and Yolo thought back to the brief battle. He remembered seeing Sam go down atop the roof of the vehicle.
