Evil genius

Damn that's old.

Does look really cool though.

I tried it out. Fun, I might buy it. Hard to control everything, though, and I had to keep my base on constant yellow or red alert with all those enemy agents. Once you capture and interrogate the thief, though, they disappear.

Took me half an hour to figure out that you had to right-click on the interrogation chair rather than left-click on it.

Its fun. still havent figured out how you can stuff people into the mixer bowl (heard you could actually do that). and I wish it gave you a little more control other then the 4 basic tags for agents. and yes i had to keep my own lair on yellow alert so my minions were armed at all times since agents had a habit of peeping into the barracks where all my goons center at. I must of gloated over 4 or 5 agent infiltrators i captured as well. course i had my henchmen ready to beat the guys arse down since they almost always got out after it... still good game. keeping my eye on it :)

Yes, you can do that, I have successfully interrogated prisoners in the mixing bowl.

Do you know how to interrogate prisoners on the chair (I love how the torture is that they are spun around, wonder how they die from it)? It is the same thing, except you click on the mixing bowl.

The long explanation.

When you click on an enemy agent, a bar appears above his head with various options. Click on the handcuffs to capture him, you need a prison cell to do this. He will be knocked out and carried to the cell. Click on the prisoner, once in the cell, to bring up a new menu. You will want to click on the "Interrogation" button, with two figures. Then right click on the mixing bowl. If you did it correctly, a security guard should walk over to the cell and march the prisoner to the kitchen. If not, try again.

OK fine i'll give myself a warning for not having searched enough.

on second tought.... no i won't

I tried interrogating a prisoner in the mixer, but the interrogation went on forever. Maybe a bug.

One of the things i noticed people complain a lot about is the amount of agents. Well, i'm sure that the biggest reason they're so bothersome on the demo is the fact that traps arent activated, seeing as probably traps would be able to take care of most of the small rabble, thus stopping them from bothering your workers. It could also be a matter of putting some difficulty into the demo, seeing as you don't have to worry about money or sending your henchmen to mission. and last, i'm sure the amount of enemy agents will be adjustable.

All in all, i think this game has shaped up to be Really lovely, it reeks of style, and between this and Rome:total war coming out this month, i don't remeber the last time i've been as excited about a single month releases in gaming.

Masochism = people that find pleasure in inflicting themselves pain.

Sadistic is what you were thinking of. Tsk.

d'oh! Guess I'll have to go flail myself with a willow branch!

Sadistic, tis what I meant.

I just finished the Evil Genius Demo in one sitting. It was fairly easy, too much so, if you compare this to elixer's first game, Republic. Which I'd have to say is a good thing. Boy, that game was not very fun.

Evil Genius issues, however. Is there no way to set up my minions to guard a specific point? Enemy agents seem to be able to storm the base, and my minions just stand there and watch it without flickering a muscle, until i micromanage and tag them. I also added a second entrance to the base. Can I delete it? Is there someway to remove just a few bits of a room instead of demolishing the whole thing? Is there a way to get rid of all the body bags? I seemed to have my freezers overflowing with them, to the point there was no more room.

Normally the influx of agents will be greatly reduced, based on the "heat" output of your base among other things. Not sure about the rest.
