First time out of the vault
Well, looks like we're back to begging and pleading. I was thinking perhaps Fallout 3 would get taken back up when FOBOS inevitably bombs, but with all of BIS laid off, we'd get a crappy game anyway.

As it stands, our best hope is for Interplay to go bankrupt and another company to pick up the Fallout label. Or perhaps the BIS employees will go and form a new studio that makes Fallout-type games for another company, like Monolith Soft did with Namco...
 
Yes, it seems that Interplay has once again dashed the hopes of its fans again.

Sad day indeed.
 
Brings us to an interesting question - what's the point of FO3 suggestions if FO3 will never get made?

We'll keep it around as long as it's used, certainly. If it dies a natural death we might have to shut it off, at least until the next Fallout 3 is announced ;)

Well, do you really think it's necessary to shut ut if it's still being used? It was already dying a slow death pre-VB, and it prolly won't do better now.

And I don't say we should keep it around just for the sake of keeping it around. No need to delete it either, but we could just store it away until something new happens. It serves little purpose...
 
And allow discussions about hipothetical FO3s in the General Fallout discussion? Yep, maybe that`s the best thing to do, to lock it but allow people to read it anyway, it`s part of the Fallout and NMA history now.

Yeah, makes sense

We *could* merge it with the Generally Fallout discussion forum, but I personally feel nothing for that unless news abouta possible Fallout 3 takes ages to emerge.

Yip, lock this one and make the GFD forum include Fallout 3, sounds like a plan.
 
I don't think this forum has to be closed, maybe a Fallout 3 project will be started under another name, maybe some f****** wonder will cause Interplay selling their license they need to whip their ass

Anyway, I think we should wait and see what happens in the next months, the BIS crew still is irritated/doesn't know where to go/what to do. Many things can happen and it doesn't make much sense to speculate at this time about what will happen next
