Still Mildly Glowing
Ok... I searched for about 30-45 min off and on while reading other posts in different tabs (Firebox Browser) but couldnt find anything relating to this subject.

I am playing Fallout2, and lost my experience points cap remover, and cant find anymore. I got the origional off a p2p proggy loooong ago, but lost it when my old hd crashed (bad kinda crashed like it dosent work anymore and is a good paperweight kinda crashed) If there is another thread about this please let me know.

I know there is a book after you beat it that up's my lvl's lke crazy but I prefer workin them up myself as to basic cheating.

Thx in advance for help.

Ah, thx for moving this I wasnt to shure if it needed to be in here or the other one. Took me a few minutes to figure it out,I am blond, what can I say :D

Yes, previously I had gone above it with a little file I got off a p2p program but cant find the thing. I thought I kept a extra backed up on some zip disks I have with fallout related material on them but no such luck :( So looking for a new experience cap remover. I have been searching these forums with no luch... also Googling alota stuff at the same time with no luck...

I thought the same thing! I played for two days
straight, doing nothing but leveling in the wasteland
and I barely reached level 32 before I got bored to death!
Of course, I'm not very easily bored.

On the subject... I can't seem to find anything about a hack
for the level cap in Fallout 2 anywhere. I have found
several sights that mention Fallout 2 and Baulder's Gate 2's level cap, though.

I'll keep an eye out for one, though I have found that, if
you can't find it in NMA's download section, you're usually
SOL.

Ya, I figured if it wasnt there it wouldnt exist. I have found a few sites refering to Bauders gate exp cap fix's also, I might try one fo those on Fallout2. Re-installin F2 is no big deal, like a minutes of work, would be worth it if I could aquire this.

My brother is visitin from waco here and says he remembers me giving it to him but he dosent ahve it anymore either so I know its not just me. I just have to find the daym thing. When I do or if someone else does plz post where and mabey we can add it if it still exists, to the vast knowleds stored here in NMA :)

EDIT:found a couple baldurs gate exp cap removers... no luck using them with F2 exe file. Renamed F2 file to BG orig file name but no luck either... besides I would think it would be a diferent file that it would need to edit but I dunno. Got to go off 2 do sompthin in RL so bbl8tr

That's strange.

So have you got to the point where you can no longer level up?

What is your maximum experience points that you have? I think maybe we could search for this in the Fallout2.exe file and then hack it (or include in one of the loader apps)

Do you have your save game file for testing?

I beleive the lvl cap is reached before... this is really from memory so you can't really confirm anything of what I'm saying but here goes anyway:
You reach level 97; then when you should reach 98, it skips to 99 and from then on you can't level up.

Then it's probably Per which told me about this phenomenon... That or it's in his guide...

Well... I'm not @ 99 jsut yet... but can remember being there in the past. I'm thinking what I coudl do is use a proggy like Fallout CHE *Think thats the name of it... and edit my lvl back down to 1...mabey... might also have to edit my xp down to 1. Then continue up with all curent perks/xp/etc. I just want to do this without using that book in reno or anything else in-game or cheats... the slow way really but I kinda like it.
I know I have to be dificult, srry :)

Also for soem odd reason none of the new posts are showin up for me so sorry for not responding sooner in here. I was wonderin why there were so few posts in NMA today :)
