Anybody know if these guys are any good?
(I guess it's too late to tell them it should be 2 words not 3.)
 
Fallout Boy?

They're fucking emo, for Chrissakes.

I hear they're decent. But I don't listen to emo. Ever.

PS: the name comes from this, not our Fallout Boy.
 
Hehe, "our" fallout boy. I like the sound of that.

Anyway, yeah, i can't stand their music. It's pretty annoying. Good thing they pretty much have only one song that repeats on the radio.

The band is from my current neighborhood in Chicago. Two guys from the band went to my high school (graduated a couple of years before i entered). Another interesting thing is that they have accounts in the Bank where my cousin works. She's known the band since they were only brining in a couple of hundred bucks after small time gigs about 2 years ago. Now she says they hold $100,000s in several accounts.
 
Horrible, horrible music. And they're making money hand over fist, so we can be guaranteed that record companies will sign anyone who can whine into the mic and play two chords on their electric guitar.
 
Fall Out Boy aren't too bad, for a semi-mainstream pop punk band. They've been around for a good few years and they've paid their dues, and they're nice guys, and definitely deserve the attention they're getting. It's nothing I'm into, really, but it's not bad at all.

Interesting side note - n00dz of the bass player recently appeared all over the internet. Seems that he drunkenly sent some to a girl via camera phone a couple of years ago, which she promptly delivered to a friend who posted it on her Livejournal. Somehow they resurfaced the other week.
