Fallen Earth goes into alpha

Years and years ago, when most of you people probably weren't even born, we were covering a post-apocalyptic MMORPG called Fallen Earth. Well, it still exists and since Aug 14 they've been doing some alphatesting. From GameSpot:<blockquote>It’s been one hundred years since the Shiva Virus all but wiped humanity off the face of the planet. The ashes of the old world have given rise to the new, and it is a world of scavengers, mutants, and death. This is a test of an Alpha Build of Fallen Earth, so there will be technical issues that crop up from time to time. Finding these issues is the point of the test, so please have patience and report these bugs when they do occur. Your assistance is invaluable in getting Fallen Earth ready for release. Because of the limited number of keys available, not all those who sign up will receive a key.</blockquote>Note that it's too late to get in now. Apparently the people who have been active on the FE forum are miffed that the keys were being handed out randomly on GameSpot after there had been hints that people would be able to sign up on the forum. Fans, eh?

never heard of this game but it might turn out good. After the game comes out i'll give my final judgment, in the meantime i'm going to look for more info about it. :D

They've already apologized and explained that it wasn't their fault.
 
Having seen the Survivorman episode in a canyon, I would expect the Grand Canyon to be one of the least habitable places on Earth, but I guess the apocalypse can do some crazy stuff.

Not really.

I did browse the forum and saw a notification amounting basically to "hay guys maybe next time", and then a bunch of fans decided to blame Gamespot for everything. Was wondering if you were thinking of something else.

Make sense, please? There's nothing apologetic or explanatory about that message. It says things people already knew and then it says there will be more chances to get in.
 
Wrong,

They appologised for a shit load of things recenly. Yet they kept doing more and more. The only "fans" left are those who suck up so much and go along with every word they say. However previous to that they invited all of the asskissers, brownnosers and the die hard defenders of FE dispite ANY issue into Alpha. Then did it randomly. When people asked about it they were banned.

Basically the only community members of FE that are not total suck ups that got into alpha managed to get a key.

From what i hear it isn't good anyway.
 
What is this? An MMO again? Seems like there are no screenshots on the website. Can I find some screens somewhere else or are there no available?

Look in the announcement section. Any pics you might find in MMORPG.com or any other site are probably old.

There are vids as well, in the download section.

It looks like crap anyway. Guy shoots other guy in head with pistol and *WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!* his body flies a couple of metres away, hits a window, but doesn't break it. Comedy gold.

The general atmosphere isn't too shabby, I guess.
