I used to have a text file for all the different builds I was going to have, including male and female character names matching the faction they would ultimately side with at the end of the game (NCR, Mr. House, Yes Man, or Legion). I had builds planned for the following character types:
Cowboy-uses all weapons empowered by cowboy perk
Grunt-same but for grunt perk
Guns Sharpshooter-uses only guns
Heavy Guns Sharpshooter-uses only heavy weapons
Energy Weapons Sharpshooter-uses only energy weapons
Heavy Energy Weapons Sharpshooter-uses only heavy energy weapons
Brawler-uses only unarmed weapons
Melee Warrior-uses only melee weapons
Pyromaniac-Uses weapons affected by Pyromaniac perk
Demolitionist-uses explosive weapons
Yet seeing as how you can practically maximize all your skills by end game, I find myself questioning if there is any point to actually making any of them. Seeing as how you can get up to level 50 with maxed skills if you find enough skill books, with high intelligence, and the educated and comprehension perks, the only kind of character you can actually build would be a jack-of-all-trades.
Can someone help me out with building characters that can handle any situation and for which I can enjoy the game?
