Here is my review for Fallout 1.5: resurrection:

For those who aren't interested in watching the video, my general thoughts on the mod were that it was brilliant. I don't think I've ever played a Fallout mod that is that deep and well written. I was hesitant to try it but I'm sure glad I did, I would recommend this to anyone.
 
Nice, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this mod. I was planning to try it once, maybe 2 or 3 years back but I must have lacked the free time then.

As a personal note, not specificaly directed at you as it isn't what you did, it's unfair to review a free labor made at the sacrifice of huge amount of free time with the same eyes than we would speak of a game we bought and for which the developpers have been paid for.
I am just saying because during my occasional sessions of getting a little lost on internet, it seem people, for a large part, takes modding for granted nowadays. I mean in their expectations that someone, not them of course as most won't even try even if they would want something done, will make mods for them to try to freely enhance their games. (Speaking of games in general here)
 
I think The Saviour was let down by English-as-a-second-language more than character writing, per se. I could be wrong, but I'd put at least £20 on it being a lot better in Czech.

Other than that, I'd agree with the review. Whatever way you slice it, it's a proper Fallout game.
 
The one thing that 1.5 did right over Nevada, and I HUGELY appreciated so much, is the fact that 1.5 had companions. And not just having companions, they also have companions banter. Banter between companions is probably the only thing missing from the official games, which is a shame considering companions banter was a thing in PS:T and (iirc) Baldur's Gate games.

and the factions and settlements in this mod please.

Yeah I totally get it. In my review I sort of pushed towards that, I tried not to fault the very little things like a few spelling mistakes (considering they're not from an English speaking country) and stuff like that. My monologue at the end sort of alluded to what you said as well.

Why don't you just try playing it instead? It's not hard to install it, since the author released an 'official' English version, unlike Nevada where a bunch of people gathered together to make an English version. Anyway,
The story began with, unfortunately, your usual amnesia shtick, and you'll find out whats and whys as you play. It takes place further east of Nevada territory, with the main landmark being Albuquerque. I won't spoil the factions, just go play it by yourself.

I think the Saviors logic wasn't as sound as it could have been. It didn't make sense that he would logically see that destroying mankind was the best coarse of action, unless he's a madman, but then you wouldn't be able to convince him otherwise. However I did like the way he went about it though, I thought using the Ghouls was very clever.

I remember shoving Kerri into the ring to fight Blaster, and she said 'If by some Miracle I survive this, I'm going to kick your ass'. I laughed, how brilliant.
 
I did finished F1. following many footstepts left by the canon Vault Dweller (Is his identity Albert Cole? but I took Albert anyway), played a good portion of F2 (to Modoc but my machine has given up the ghost! and must reinstall the entire OS and utilities (MS Office and few more) first. will retry it soon.

I must finish F2 first and check if this mod adhers to FNV established canon on the diverted origins of Rangers.

as in F1 there's a recruitalble companion in Junktown named Tycho. he lived in the innermost section of the town in a saloon (can't remember a name but it has an urn on the counter), a dialogue options with him revealed that he was a desert ranger who came from what that once was Nevada (he said nothing of Vegas but possibly he might have waked Mojave before)

Well, the mod development started long before Obsidian even worked on New Vegas (it took them 10 years to release the mod for the first time), and as I said before it took place in the region much further east of Nevada (and even Arizona), which is exactly New Mexico with Albuquerque being roughly in the center of its overworld map. So, just like Fallout of Nevada, you can assume the mod will have little to no connection to the New Vegas, and have much more to do with Fallout 1 since it takes place sometime after it. However, the difference between Nevada and 1.5 is that Nevada take place in Vault City, New Reno, and also Las Vegas, but even then the author did his best to separate New Vegas from Nevada by only have some implications here and there in Las Vegas area. Meanwhile, 1.5 have literally zero to do with any of the main entries other than Fallout 1, so if you really want to find anything about the Desert Rangers in 1.5, you're going to be disappointed because the only characters to appear in 1.5 that returned from F1 are those who're related to the Hub and the Children of the Cathedral. There's literally zero stuff, implications, or even mentions about the Desert Rangers in 1.5. I should know, I've replayed it so many times and can remember most of the lore and dialogues.

But yes, it's a fact that Tycho, a recruitable companion whom you encounter for the first time in Junktown tavern building, does have dialogues related to the Desert Rangers of Nevada, and New Vegas canonize their existence by having them absorbed by the NCR Rangers. You can even find their outfit in Honest Hearts, iirc. However, based on the information I can gather on the wikia, it seems that the Desert Rangers, while mainly operate in Nevada, can also be found in Arizona. 1.5 took place in New Mexico, an region exactly east of Arizona, and it's not mentioned anywhere where the information about the Desert Rangers is available, so yeah, I can confirm you'll find zero stuff about the Desert Rangers in 1.5
