Fallout 1 and 2 collectors item?

As I stated in the two threads this was discussed before, you can get Fallout 1 for roughyl 3 GBP and the bundle for less than 20 GBP at Amazon UK.

Just go to amazon.co.uk. If you're American and too patriotic to pay the shipping cost, feel free to buy it for the patriotic price of 90 USD.
 
Yeah, but like I was sayin, those are like the Avalon sets...not the originial Interplay published items. The original IPLY jewel bundles are basically non-existant in stores right now, and if I'm not mistaken, content has been changed in the games for those Avalon versions.
 
Fuck jewel cases. If you have original manuals, you can ask a LOT for them. I've never seen people selling boxed FO1/2 with the manuals. Thank god I have both (although I would've preferred US spiralbound for my FO1)

That would work, except that in my experience, Amazon UK won't ship to the US. If they did, I'd probably abandon Amazon in the US.

They do. At least their shipping page tells you how to enter US addresses and does not mention any restrictions.

I only have the German manuals, which for some reason are arranged a bit differently than the US versions but have the same design nevertheless (Vault-Tec Notebook (FO2) and military survival manual (FO1)).
 
Wow, I'm glad I still have both the original boxed copies & manuals of FO1/2 and the Interplay Dual Jewel. But I don't think I'll ever sell either, even at that price.

Hmmmm... maybe I should back up my FO1/2 disks to CD-Rs and play off those, whilst keeping the originals in a lockbox...
 
If the game is so expensive, there must be quite a demand for it. How awesome must a game be to sell seven years after it was released? I don't think Fallout: Piece of Shit will be selling for $90 seven years from now...
 
I remember seeing the double pack at Wal-Mart a year or two ago for 10 bucks. Isn't the collector's market wonderful?

When I origionally got Fallout I got a special edition of Fallout 2 that was advertised to come with the game's soundtrack. But the soundtrack cd was actually the original Fallout. So now I have Fallout with the wrong CD cover, and the original Fallout 2 manual.
 
doh! Why didn't I buy a copy to pawn off :-\. I have my original cds and the manuals, not sure about the boxes. But I would never let them leave my side. There's a reason they sell for so much, and its the reason I'm keeping mine :).
 
Aww man. I love that. Like Bradylama said, I saw the pack for like $10 in a game store. I actualy bought Fallout 2 fairly new, so it was like 20 or 30$ when I bought it, and got FO1 for really cheap a year or 2 later. I still have the original FO1 box, but I got rid of the FO2 box when it started bending and got destroyed.

I bet if you look in game stores, you can probably find FO1&2 for real cheap... but it will be hard to find.
 
Fallout 1 and 2 are still in stores in Poland. there is some series of older games selled on real cheap ( compared to new games like 1 : 10 ) price including both Fallouts in polish. I got both Fallouts in english as well since they're addition to Fallout Tactisc that still is in stores here. Unfortunetly F1 and 2 instructions are never to be found ( except acrobat reader files) :/
Dunno, maybe I could find some instructions in some antique shop ? No luck so far though ;)
 
WOW! on ebay, there is an auction for a sealed box of the 2 games together - 11 bids, and its up to 42$ USD. How high of a demand is there??
 
Theres a huge demand.

Unfortunitly, since it's not a new game with such high system requirements that only l33t PCs can play it, it gets ignored by most.
 
Wow, I should start buying and reselling it cause I can still find it here for 10$. But I won't... too lazy.
 
Please, for god sakes you guys are hurting my head. Dont judge the value of an item from places like ebay or amazon.
 
wow, thats crazy. I wonder how much my original FO1 would sell for. Everything is in the box including the "quick reference card". Anyone have the quick reference card? I have the original FO2 put away too; also in perfect mint condition.
