Fallout 1 Application Error, Brotherhood of Steel

In my current game (patched 1.1 official) everytime I attempt to reach Brotherhoold Steel, whether it be by world map or via caravan I get an application error which crashes the game to desktop and seems to casue a massive memory leak. No idea whats going on.

I'm on Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you visited this location before?

You can finish the game without going to the Brotherhood, although it is quite a bit harder

Well I was on my way to pick up powered armor

But yeah, guess I will finish it without going there. Will be annoying though with my 4 strength and all.

Try to load your game. Then, please try to Alt+Tab to Windows, open up your Fallout\data\maps folder and delete the BROHD*.SAV files

Alt+Tab back to the game and go to the Brotherhood.

This should help if your case has to do with map corruption.

^^ Yes, that seemed to work as long as I delete it after every re-load.

Have you tried to load, delete, save and reload?
