Fallout 1 DOS install

First time out of the vault
I was looking for a standalone Fallout 1.0 for DOS to use on DOSbox, and I noticed it's near impossible to find, which made me dig through all of my old games...

So I decided to register and announce "I have an old copy of Fallout with the DOS install."

So, is there interest in the old 1.0 exe?
 
CD and DOS are not exclusive. The original CD came with two exes, one for DOS and one for Windows. I take it the digital downloads don't include it because they don't expect anyone to need it.
 
I personally would love a copy of the DOS .exe for fallout. I've been wanting to run it through dosbox on my new android tablet.
 
Took me a while, but here it is:

This is the full Fallout game, but it DOES NOT have the critter.dat or master.dat files, as well as some of the junk on the CD to install with. You will need a second copy of Fallout to get this working, but included in this file are the DOS components needed to run Fallout.

Description in the .rar file under the README 09 JULY 2012.txt

It would be in everyone's best interest if this were archived somewhere other than my site, since I am on this server as a favor and I don't want to eat their bandwidth forever. But I will leave it up until I get some sort of complaint.

Dear killchain187 it's a long shot since 2012, but I can't find the dos version anywhere and your link is now broken. Can you provide an alternative link? Thank you sooo much :)
 
I've already tried this way, patching the windows version, but the audio doesn't work as you Can find easily googling it.
 
I installed the GOG windows version on a USB Stick to play on a windows machine, but I would like to have the DOS version in order to play via dosbox on my mac too. It's really impossible to find an old ISO of fallout with the DOS setup, and the walkaround you linked doesn't work :(
 
WOOHOO. a buddy of mine found his original copy back from pre 2000's. hopefully its got the dos exe on it. gotta get home to see. but will keep all posted. *fingers crossed*
Although I have seen some sites that you can play fallout in a browser. not sure if they work but its out there

I do have the DOS exe, but it's the german version, so probably not much use for anyone.
