Fallout 2 Application error please help

The mapper is working but the game doesnt pls help

Does it work for a half second or crash right before map load?

Do you use any fancy scripts? Sfall, etc? I'd guess the crash is not related to map per se. Could be a script going crazy or something with the proto files.. though in this case it shouldn't work in the mapper either.

What about your cities.txt and maps.txt files. If you fuckup shit in them, the game will also crash.

First of all try to replace your map with another 100% sure working one, because the problem doesn't have to be caused by map.

If problem is with the map then:
- open you mapper config file
- set save_text_maps=1
- open your map
- hold ALT and P
- create new blank map
- save it
- hold ALT and P
- find created txt's
- open your not working map txt
- copy information after and with "square_elev: 0" [or another elevation, about 10 000 lines]
- replace about 10 000 lines with your copied content in proper place [you will figure out where]
- go to the mapper
- find option "Rebuild all maps" - or something like that

That would be the fastest way to get map without scripts. I have known this method since yesterday so I can't help you more with that.
