Fallout 2 coast map has no exit grid

First time out of the vault
I'm running the restoration project 2.1.2b with high resolution patch 4.0.2. This only happens to me with killap's patch. Sometimes when I have an encounter on the coast, there will be no exit grid. There is an empty cave. It's the map itself because this has happened to me before on the same map, and not on any other coast map. I took a screenshot.

As you can see, there is no exit grid on the right as there should be.

I quick-saved after the battle, not realizing I had trapped myself. Is there any way to fix this (i.e., a program that will take me back to the worldmap?)

Have you tried changing the resolution?
Also, is it possible to enter the cave?

Like I said the cave is empty (no exit grid, no monsters.) And that's the actual size of the map, as you can see by the blackness.

There should be an exit grid on the bottom right of that map.

Thing you can do if you don't have any NPCs or the car:

* Look in your save folder for the file Coast1.sav or Coast2.sav and stomp on it.
* Make a copy of some other area save file and rename it to match the stomped file.
* Load your save. If you don't get a lot of graphics glitches, run for the exit. You'll be on the wrong part of the world map but this is probably not (as much of) an issue.
* If you did get a lot of graphics glitches, try another map.

More complicated thing you can do if you do have NPCs and/or the car:

* Rename your save file to Coast1.map or Coast2.map. (Better make a backup too.)
* Move this file to Fallout2/data/maps.
* Start up the Fallout 2 Mapper, load the file and smack down an exit grid. (This may require some research in itself.)
* Rename the file back to .sav and move it back to your save folder.
* Load and step on the exit grid.

Can you post a save game? This is odd and definitely an issue related to the high res patch, but I'm not sure why it happened.
