Fallout 2 crashing in the Den, patch 1.04&1.05 problem

First time out of the vault
As the subject implies, the game crash for me when I try to save a game in the Den and then load it.

This bug occur when I have patch 1.02, 1.04, 1.05&1.05b installed. (In the correct order).

This bug occur when i use BOTH the US and the UK version of the game (both with their appropriate patches)

Are you saying that you've installed all of these patches to run the game? I don't see why you would want to do that, and if you did, that might just be the problem. One patch will suffice. :wink:

Or is it? After all, 1.05 is unofficial... I'd opt for installing the official 1.02 and Celestial's 1.05, in that order, just to be on the safe side.

Installing the 1.05 oughtn't render your savegames useless, so that might not be the issue. However, this is largely unpredictable. Make sure you play all your game using the same patch, just to be sure.

Ensure that any mods you use remain in the same number and combination throughout the game. Using different sets of mods in one game often prevents savegames from loading appropriately.

One thing came to my mind: Are you using the Friendly Klint mod? Sometimes, when you give Klint Power Armour and then ask him to remove it and wear any other armour, the slot becomes irreversibly corrupted upon the following save.
 
I think Celestial has mentioned problems with installing all the patches.
I just use the 1.05, and it seems to work fine.
(I think that 1.05 contains 1.02 (the official patch) but i'm not certain)
