Let me revise my initial appraisal somewhat: this isn't just a shitty game, it's actually somewhat entertainingly shitty. If only because how shitty it is.
* I threw a grenade at an enemy. He then turned and killed me with a few shots while I tried to back off. I chose to play again, the mission reset... and the enemy died from my exploding grenade.
* You need several hits with a Gauuss (sic) rifle to kill someone. Not exactly how it works out in the real game. The shots also go wide in random directions instead of where you want them to go.
* There's no way to tell whether you have line of sight to something. Clicking on an enemy you can't see may have one of three consequences: 1) Your character fires into a wall, 2) nothing or 3) your character fires on some other spot than the one selected that he can see. Usually, the enemy then turns and shoots you through what looked like a wall. In fact, having someone turn and kill you is the best way of determining line of sight.
* There's no sniping since you can't take cover, aim and fire; any time you can fire at them, they see you and fire at you. The sniping quality of the Bozar is instead simulated by having every shot be an instant kill - even though it's still a burst weapon.
* The flamethrower only hurts someone if there's line of sight, so you can stand behind the corner a crate and seemingly bathe someone in liquid fire and they don't really care. Until you take another step and they turn and kill you.
* There's only one player death animation, so when your vault suit-clad hero dies, he is magically equipped with khakis and a helmet before falling down.
* Frag grenades do no damage to someone who's standing right next to them when they go off. However, standing on the other side of the screen is lethal if you get hit by the unlimited range shrapnel.
* If you select grenades, an animation shows your character pulling out a grenade even if you don't have any to throw. Presumably he keeps a dud grenade handy at all times just for show.
* Going on a rampage with the Avenger Minigun is actually somewhat funny because it's so overpowered - you get to kill people before they can turn and shoot back.
