I'm pretty sure I recall that being one of the bugs I reported during beta testing. I haven't yet tested it in the release version though.
Ah, I found the problem. The installer was copying over a very old version of the merchant's script when you choose to use the armor mod in the installer. I had forgotten I was using two different versions of this script. Modular fallout 2 installations can get messy...

In other news, all the issues reported for Broken Hills on the wiki are now fixed. While I was editing, someone posted an issue about Marcus' lips not moving when he talks. Can someone confirm this? I don't experience this.

Are you posting your issues on the wiki? I'm assuming everyone is. However, I will probably make a quick pass of the thread here for issues - specifically yours.
 
Hi guys! So far I am very pleased with this mod, but I have come across a bug at the Primitive Tribe. After helping Krom closing the deal with the stimpack-traders, the game immedietly crashes, right after ending the conversation. Now, the strange part is, wheter or not the game crashes depends on which choices you make in the conversation, i.e accepting the deal may or may not cause a crash based on which line you picked in the conversation.

Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me? I was not able to see the error message by the way, as the screen turns black, and the only way to exit the program is to press enter (removing the error box)

annoying battle saved game issues

If i save the game in mid battle then load i will take my turn. i will deal no damage in the bottom left window even though i can see the person beng hurt when i shoot them.

after my turn all my npc's move at once and so do the enemies. they all appear to be doing damage but it never registers in the system

fillaps final patch worked like a charm, the issue only started hgappening after installing the RP. i have he latest patch for it too

i had the same problem... only way for it not to crash for me was to inspect the goods, realize they were fake, then attack the bad guys.

I've noticed however when he levels up this appears to fix its self after doing some more testing.

This is interesting. I've long noticed Cassidy seems to be considerably weaker than the other NPC's and almost always seems to take more damage. Maybe he's missing out on all/part of his DR or DT?

Sorry, I haven't been posting anything there. I did read it earlier, though, and one of your team had put up a few of my comments. I've been trying to suggest solutions as well when I'm able (which weren't over there, probably to avoid confusion), so hopefully any extra time used to search for my posts will be made back up on a few softball fixes found therein that are ready to go.

The problem you mentioned in combat happens if there are too many enemies on the screen at once, and should go away as you kill some of them off. What map were you on?
 
Hmm, anyone know if going into SAD still gives you the "violent" Wright family ending in New Reno? I was never sure whether this was a bug, or intentional?

ANY BATTLE. lol.... first time i noticed it was when i fought the gecco in the toxic caves. ic can happen in a map where i am alone 1 on 1 with a character
 
Time to report some stuff.

KLAMATH:
- I couldn´t figure out who rustled the brahmin, but I assumed that it was due to my low Charisma (2) and moved on.

THE DEN:
- I haven´t noticed any problems except the slowdowns in the western parts. It´s like.. the Horde Fortress in IWD2...
- I read (in this thread I think) that Metzger should mark a new location on the map. He didn´t, but I guess it is due to low CH.

MODOC:
- Balthas is only bugged AFTER blowing up the toilet. Save his kid BEFORE doing that and you´ll get experience.

VAULT 15:
- After doing everything here, the Doctor is in two places at once, in the Vault and up in a tent aboveground.

I think you are missing a key piece of information. I have played fallout 2 for 10 years and have never had this issue. only time i have had it is with the RP

For those of you who have played through EPA, can you confirm that [spoiler:2f09dd9948]the agility+1 serum no longer exists in that area? [/spoiler:2f09dd9948]

If so, could you confirm this is intentional? No problem either way, but it'd be nice to know when creating a new character.

Agreed, I've only ever had a very FEW broken saves

I played Fallout 2 on and off for as long as you two and never had an urge to save during combat. Simply do not do it and your problem is fixed.

on F2RP1.2, I killed all families, except wright family. return from sad to them and become a made man for wright. but i did banged both bishop's wife/daughter without condom... so the ending was the baby not knowing his father.. eventhough wright family is to rule...

I left Vic & Cassidy outside the mine entrance in Broken Hills, then i came out and wanted to get them back (i had charisma 2). I got Vic back to my party, then used mentats (+2 CHA) and got Cassidy. After I rested for a day or so i got -4 INT (became 5, I had 9), 4 PE (became 5, I had 9) and 1 CHA (I had 2).

HELP SOMEONE!!!

P.S. did the same trick before, everything worked fine. The only thing i copied for this location is fix for Marcus and missing people quest, but i think this is not a problem.

That's how drugs work in Fallout. They boost you up for awhile, but then you get a nasty crash and your stats plummet. If you wait it out a bit, then they should return to normal.
 
Hi guys, been lurking for a month or two. Amazing job Killap! It's about time I came out of the woodworks to thank you for this. My love for FO2 has only increased! :mrgreen:


I think I may have a bug though. In The Den, I took Rebeccca's job of gathering money from Fred, then confronted him. I took the diplomatic route and offered to pay for most of it, then went back and spoke to Rebecca. But she's not registering that I did anything at all.

I am using Windows 7, the US version of FO2 1.02 via humongous install type, RF version 2.0.2c, and no other mods.

one thing I would love to see adjusted/changed


When you confront the dutton brothers about them killing the brahim for making drymeat pretending to be scorpions -> they start fleeing waving their hands and running


if you go after them the kids in the village start throwing rocks at you and I don't know what to do


are you supposed to lock them in their bilding with a rope and kill them there?

how can you safely kill them?
