I´ll be damned, it works!!!
let me test it for few more hours but it look stable.
Ok, good to hear, please, could you write some info how you resolved it to technical wiki so the others will not be forced to go through the same painful way in the future?

yeah, sure.
look, we have approached the problem from wrong side.
The game wouldnt save because the item and critters needed to be locked or they would be deleted later by the game. since the folders were locked the game wouldnt save.
and then it hit me.why lock folders. So I unlocked them again but locked EVERYTHING inside them! every file in those folders is locked.
So the game now saves but it wont touch the files, since they are locked!

It really seems to work!

It's funny because these command I wrote you did exactly the same you're saying. Making files inside items/critters read only but do not touching folders iteself. Folders were probably set read only by RP installer. But I'm wondering why it's the problem at Mac OS when at linux fallout does not care if these folders are read only or not.

I have no idea why it is so.

I have 4 more days of my holidays, guess what I will be doing
thanx again! I gope I will be able to return a favor in the future! :salute:

There is an edit function button - the moderators will frown upon you if you keep making multiple responses, just saying.

I think that the moderators are much more clever and intelligent human beings then you give them credit for.
I am sure they would have understood the amount of trouble I went through to make RP work on my Mac. And I am sure they recognized help that I received as well as my joy when I made it work.

Frankly, to think as you do that they would be upset with my postings and thus accusing them for being abusive is insulting.
I think you would do wisely if you had some better thoughts about the moderators. just saying.

He is one, just saying. ;)

EDIT: He's NOT a moderator? Seems I mistook modder for moderator, easy mistake. :P

Matthews, he's a modder not a moderator.

@ jasse,

Pixote is not bullshitting you, it's in the rules. Nr 4 says:
Do not double-post, there is an Edit function on this forum for adding more to the end of a thread if you are the last poster. If you accidentally double-post, you can delete the last post yourself as long as no one else has posted below you.
The General Modding Forum is a bit more lax than the other forums, but sometimes people do get told off by moderators. See this as friendly advice from a non-moderator. :)

Number 10 is pretty good too, right Pixote.
Only moderators and admins moderate these forums. Feel free to publicly talk about moderator actions you disagree with, but do not backbench moderate.
Dammit, now I'm guilty too. ;)

i noticed a really bad and annoying bug and that is that the world map is impossible to use in windowed mode with X2 1280X1024

the map is only in reality about a quarter of the size that is displayed on the screen so it is tedious to try and hit the zone in buttons.

is there a quick fix for this problem?

and before you ask why i play in windowed mode it is because i have dual screens and i watch youtube as i play

I finally decided to load this version (I wanted to finish my old game on the previous version, first) and so far so good. I incorporated some stuff I messed (I guess you can call it modded) with before to personalize my game and have used Nirran's mods without any issue (at least so far.) The one exception is his skill books mod, because there is new items added and it counteracts with that mod. Hopefully, he'll come out with a new version, if he's still around here and wants to.

I do have a quick question: Does Hakunin not supposed to speak to you if you steal his stuff before ever talking to him? I haven't noticed any mention of this (I'll go over the read me again to be sure,) and when I did try to talk to him, nothing happened. I remember Myron did the same thing if you kicked him in the nuts or somebody else did. He'd stop talking to you. Is it the same thing, or some issue with my game?

I just reached the EPA and found this green syringe with unknown properties. When I use it on my character it says she wakes up after two days and that she feels different. I can see that it raises her agility by one point. I tried waiting for four more days to see if the effect will pass, and it hasn't so far. Is that supposed to happen and is there any other effect?

Think someone mentioned that the effect of that syringe is permanent, don't know where that post is though...

No, there's no other effect, but like others said, syringe doesn't disappear after use due to bug.

But is it a bug?

I'm a nurse, and take it from me, syringes do NOT disappear after use.

Hmm - I only got to NMA once. Do you mean, that you use the syringe, and it remains full? If that is the case then I had forgotten...

Great news! So this is finished? what's the better way to play this on linux/ubuntu? i've made some attempts at the past. I assume this already includes HD options right?

regards all,

The effect of the syringe is permanent, as it was intended to be.
Upon using it, it doesn't get removed, so you can use it again. That was a bug. It has been fixed now (for next release).

Try this: http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/F2RP_Technical_Info#WINE
I don't personally know anything about it but it's gotta be a reason it's there, right?

How can i add 2 more ERSI to my inventory? I really want all of new companions. Maybe this is a cheat but i don't care. Please help !
