Fallout 2 Restoration Project Gameplay Thread

is there any way to speed the world map travel up a little, I finished my re-re-re-replay yesterday and then installed the restoration, and now the world map seems to just drag about 2 times as slow.
I am running this game with XP and already had your most recent patch and a travel fixer on it.

Spoiler: Find the Rustlers

IMPORTANT: Before you leave the temple area, to get the Suit movie, Save the game in a separate save, back it up in another folder. As there's many updates of project to come (we hope) there shall be a need of replay. With this save you no longer have to do the temple again (and again... the temple area is a pain). IMPORTANT.


Now answer once and for all the rustling quest

You have no need to jointhe Benton (you can if you want but that change the title of the quest only). After you got the rad limb, go to Benton and accuse them of that. They will relent. NOW, go to Ardin and you can point finger toward them. Ardin require more proof

Go to the brahmin pen behind the Benton house and LOOK at the brahmins. a block of text will appear. now you can meet Ardin again to finish the quest.

The stuff about looking at brahmin is quite intuitive, but it's limited by action. Beside we are all familiar with the old so we havent adapt to the new easily.

 

Is there no longer a way to get the vertibird plans without violence? My old order of business in there left me hanging. I ended up planting some plastic explosives on Quincy to get em.

What parts are needed for water pump in Abbey? Or who do I talk to to find out what parts are needed?

 

Water pump quest in Abbey

Repair the pump, then use it, it will open dialog with you. Check carefully to determine that there's indeed a fault with the motor. Talk to the guy near it. Visit Vault City, buy motor from Harry (Shopkeeper in courtyard). Return to Abbey, insert it to the pump then repair. Violin!

I did that, but it mentions needing some tools. I have a wrench, pliers and crowbar, but they don't seem to do the trick. What else is there?

 

super tool box. if you dont have, return to valerie in the VC, talk with her to get one, or steal from her.

 

I can't seem to find Vault Village, I checked the map area around VC, and looked for grids in VC itself, and I couldn't find it. Is this supposed to be revealed by the quest? If so, can someone please direct me to the first person i need to talk to to get this quest started?

 

Vaylt Village?

Vault Village only appear if you receive the quest from Stark. Scout NCR then he will charge you with that.

The area on map is a very small cirle so I doubt you can stumble upon that.

Vault Village is a nice quest, with many twists. Profitable too, if you know how.

 

I can't find out what is haunting the primitive tribes shaman

 

I think that this shaman quest is bugged. Even after looking at that ripped girl iin woodlands, there still isn't any ghost at the midnight near the shaman's tent...

 

Well... it worked somehow... there was still a rock in the corpse of that girl which I didn*t take with me.

After I took it (and threw it away ) I went back to the shaman and found the ghost!!!

Maybe someone can reproduce this?

Well it's not working for me with or without the rock

 

Maybe you could try to look at the corpse. That got it right for me. Just use those binoculars on it and then on midnight go to the shaman.

 

Hey, I'm new at posting in this forum, so if I'm in the wrong spot, let me know. Anywho, I starting playing Killaps new mod, and it sounds awesome, but for the life of me I can't figure out who I talk to to get the Primitive Tribe put on my world map. It kills me to ask for help, since I like to explore on my own, but there's really no point to playing this mod if I can't get to the new areas. So, if anyone could give me a hint here, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

 

Somehow, I got lost as to what to do to expose a guy named Chad in Broken Hills. Is there really something complicated there, or am I just missing something that's really "right on the surface"?

 

how do I fix the well in primitive village, it says that rope and bucket are missing, i had rope with me by chance and there was a bucket laying around but for the life of me I can't do anything with them, can't use rope with the well neither from inventory nor from hand, and bucket is the same

do i need like repair skill or what
