Fallout 2 Very Difficult Mod

Yea, I havent seen dude around in a long time corpse, then again I havent been around much lately either, sorry I still have got that snake FRM done yet either :(
 
That's cool mate, take your time... We still have a lot of bugs to fix and things to add so its going to take us a long while to release a demo. :)
 
I having problem with party members leveling up.

Wenn a party member levelsup and save/load all stats are back to stage 1.

I did a clean install with the f2patchv1.02d patch.
Copy in F2 : FO2VDIFF.dat & FO2VDIFF.exe

Run FO2VDIFF.exe.

Not working like it suppose to work.
Seems the last days nothing works like it suppose to work.

If take the proto files from Sulik & Cassidy, after i unpacked the dat file and use them with the killaps patch (no patch file), they levelup up like they suppose to do.
Also combined them with Miria & Friently Klint.

Any suggestions?
 
Hey! I don't know if I already asked it, but it's possible for you to make a hardcore version of this mod? Say, by removing all bonuses to the player but keeping the computer enemies' bonuses?

The problem is you have always short of AP's :D
Use F2Wedit...
Reduce AP cost for weapons by 50/60 %. Increase burst with 20/30%, not the big guns.
Melee or H2H 2 AP's. Guns/SMG/rifles 3/4 AP's, burst 7/8 AP's.
Big guns also lower the AP costs.

If you're "lucky" you "die" or run hard the first time you see bandits :)

I did that ones, was fun. A ranger shoot 3 times with a Laser Rifle (AP cost 3) :D
 
Well... take a char with agility on 4 or so... then you have less APs and the game is harder. :>
 
Hey great job! I was looking exactly for this kind of mod. Just finished F2 on hard difficulty and I still find this game easy. Even without stealing. But what I want to ask - does anybody tested it? How balanced is it?

Can I play this mod with other single player mods?

What If I set the difficulty on hard? Will it be even harder?
 
I did just what you're thinking about. FO2VD on hard was a lot of fun for me. Does it work with other mods though? I'm not sure, but I don't think it would. I know very little about modding fallout 2, but I believe for the HP increases of all the critters in the game to show up, all the maps had to be recompiled with the modified protos. If that's the case, then any mod which attaches scripts to or modifies maps in any way will either not work or overwrite the very difficult mod.

Random thought: I always thought it would be awesome to be able to select a global (except PC) HP modifier. Unfortunately playing fo2 just isn't hard anymore. I know Glovz's ammo mod is working on this issue, but I would still love to be able play Killap's RP with all creatures getting this mod's HP buffs.
