Fallout 3 action figures. Did anyone know about these?

Hello all,

I wandered by accident onto Amazon while following some others links when I suddenly saw this under my 'other things you might be interested in based on your browsing history' recommendation list.

Action figures

In a sense I was both surprised and not surprised as I expected that Bethesda would sooner or later would try to make merchandise on their game properties. We have already had several people in the past who made custom made action figures including figures based on Fallout.
And making action figures based on video games has been going on even before Halo came out. (I remember owning some Quake II action figures)

I am not going to say that this cheapens the franchise further as the action figures are pretty much separate merchandise and Bethesda's developers have damaged the franchise enough on their own.
Can't say Fallout 3 or 4 would have been my choice as source material to base action figures on but then again I was not the target audience for those games despite being a fan since Fallout 1.

Is anyone here going to buy these or perhaps the TES based ones?

Edit: I was surprised by the fact that these are going to be on sale on Amazon soon and it was completely beneath the general Fallout news radar as far as I know.

I'm cool with it as long as they aren't overpriced, which they are unfortunately. Since it's the "Fallout Legacy Collection" I would hope that they release models from Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas but I know they'll just outright ignore their existence like they usually do, which is really unfair.

First I've heard of this.

I will definitely pass on these. Too expensive and I'm not excited enough for Fallout 3, 4, and TES to go pick up action figures based off of those properties.

Based off of Fallouts 1, 2, and New Vegas however? Maybe.

And if those figures were a bit smaller (like GI Joe scale) and much more affordable? Most definitely.

Sadly you're right. Imagine a "deluxe" Master figure though...

Then again, imagine how much the goddamn thing would cost. These things are already overpriced as it is.

Plastic merchandising isn't terribly exciting. I was going to do a merchandising roundup a couple of months ago but it kinda bored me.

I like diecast models myself. If there were some great models of some characters that were very detailed, I'd certainly consider buying them if the price was right.
