I was wondering, along with the unkillable children and the father figure that you obviously can't whack...
He'll probably be the bad boss at the end, so there's your chance...

Who kidnaps your girlfriend.
At the end, with your father defeated, a small mushroom like mutant appears and says "I'm sorry, but the prin.. er.. your friend is in another Vault!"

cue Fallout 4

Both of the original Fallouts had you setting out on a quest to save your family/friends/people you probably didn't give a damn about etc..

yes they did, but after getting those quests you could choose to do whatever you wanted for the most part.

in FO1 you really never needed to get the water chip to save v13.

in FO2 you didn't even need the GECK in your inventory when you beat the game! you had to find it to start the dying hakunin script, and get the real main quest of destroying the enclave...
(a group you couldn't join and who were hostile to you would be worth killing even for an evil character)

the fact that they kidnapped your tribe only matters to the goodie-goodies..

No new screenshots ? No video ? FUCK THAT man...
What are they affraid of ? We already are "skeptical" to say the least about their game so why don't they just release a video of their demo ?

Nope. You can go to the Enclave without ever touching the G.E.C.K.

I believe they are releasing some new material today, seeing that I'll be out of time without the net for a week.

I did not know that for sure, but it supports my point that those main quests were more like "reasons to push you into exploring the wastes" than they were required actions..

Thank you sir.

Definitely, it's about the impact of the character in the world and vice versa, not about story, G.E.C.K. is just a McGuffin
