Just a question.... in your opinion, would it have been wrong for Interplay/BIS to ask for donations that would have gone toward VB? If they asked, How many of you would have donated? We are not the only ones effected by VB being shelved. The BIS team was effected just as much or even worse so the cause would not be only Fallout 3 but the BIS team as well. I, personally, would not mind donating money to make Fallout 3. (and pay for the game) I also do not know how much money it takes to make a game so my idea may be kind of out of the question.

Speaking of which, I was thinking about the theory of a "nuclear winter" the other day, and was wondering if there were going to be any areas with snow in Fallout 3. Does anyone know?

all the remaining Interplay employees got a relatively large bonus this year with their checks from Dec 15th. I thought that was rather shitty, personally

If IPLY can afford to give nice bonuses to everyone, then why did they have to close BIS? Why was VB shelved? If they were just short of the money needed to finish, then how come the BIS staff were not offered a chance to take a paycut? The devs themselves have said they were not offered that option and earlier Briareus said:

Know that were there anything more that we (the VB team) could have done, we would have.

Not really possible. First, as has been mentioned, the Xmas bonus. Second, who has financial controlling interest of Interplay/BIS? Next, who has been funneling money and/or butchering apart Interplay's assets from Interplay for some time?

Okay, I checked with a friend who still works at IPLY and the bonuses are true. However, the bonuses went to the Dark Alliance team (what's left of them), and desrvedly so. They busted their butts and made a great game. So, kudos to the DA2 team.

You may be right, I'll try to get it cleared up. Tho, I have reason to believe the bonuses didn't stop there and have had no indication yet that they in fact did only go to the dev team.

Shortly after all the layoffs happened "nice" jackets and bags were given to "all" the employees.

I suppose that might mean just DA2 team as well.Again, I'll find out.
