Fallout 3 Culmination of Events

First time out of the vault
I really don't want any spoilers but I posted this question in this forum because it seemed most relevant.

My question is, does Fallout 3 end in the same way that the other two did, where you see pictures of all the different places you've been and a narrator speaks of what happened after you're arrival?

I'm already about a quarter into the game and I'd like to do some fun, albeit reckless and amoral things, but don't know if the ending holds repercussions for this sort of behavior. Thanks!

As far as I could tell, no, only your actions in the actual main quest are talked about, along with your overall Karma level.

So like, if I had blown up Megaton, would I see some ominous message in the end of the game saying how I ruined the spark of a new civilization or something like that?

No, I don't think so.

Edit: That is, I disarmed the bomb and didn't get anything about it the end. It might be different if you blow it up, but given that none of the other side quests seem to have narration either, I don't think so.

If you played the previous two games and enjoyed their endings you will be disapointed at the end of Fallout 3.

The actions you take on the wasteland are irrelevant, all that matters is your last minute decision. I think I noticed one slide that was slightly relevant to a quest I did in game, but that was about it.

well since even die hard Bethesda fans complained about the ending it does tell alot about it. It really is bad.

I'd definitely have to say the ending sucks for a FO game, like most of the rest of the game.

As a die-hard Morrowind fan (Oblivion sucks balls), the ending sucks because there's no sandbox continuation afterwards.

Honestly, Morrowind kind of had the same script for the ending, if you think about it -

Step 1: Gather overpowered items allowing you access to final battle.
TESIII: The two god weapons things.
FO3: Liberty Prime.

Step 2: Fight insanely weak final boss.

Step 3: Manipulate object to end game.

Oh, you mean the guy I sent away with two lines of dialogue? That's an awesome final boss.

TVTropes call it a Anti-Climax boss, and that's what Colonel Autumn is. I think he would be much better of a boss if Bethesda put him in full APA in the endgame. His laser pistol is pretty strong and he has some good HP, but that trenchcoat is not going to save him from my bulletstorm.

Well, I can understand him getting a tad cocky, what with it having saved him from the bone-melting radiation in the Project Purity control room...
