Fallout 3 DLC's (PS3) How much did they changed the game?

First time out of the vault
So I'm kinda new to the Fallout series, I've only played Fallout 3 (haven't finished it yet, but i've completed the main quest) and I love the plot and the game itself. So I was wondering if the DLC's are worth the money and I found this forum (lucky me), and yeah... Share your opinions if it's worth buying the DLC's, but no spoilers please.

Well if you want something more in the spirit of the main game I would recommend The Pitt and Point Lookout, the other three expansions are basically FPS-lite shooters.

Broken Steel opens the ending of the game but it basically is "Go there, shoot people, retrieve thing" several times over.
There are some side quests not nothing really worthwhile.

Yeah so i've heard. One of things than annoys me is that without Broken Steel the game ends in the main quest, and I luckly had a manual saved game in my HDD. Btw u play Fallout on PC or PS3?

The pitt and Point Lookout was great! Broken steel is "needed" but it is not anything awesome.. Operation Anchorage is a loot feast but you get some backstory about the war but besides that it fucking sucks! Zeta should be purged in holy fire.

If you can you should get it on the PC. Then you could mod out all the bad parts of F3 besides voice acting and the story! I would never be able to go back to vanilla F3 now after using some really needed mods

Considering the general quality of the game, none of the FO3 DLCs were "bad", aside from Mothership Zeta, which is utter crap. In my version of the story, Lone Wanderer was tripping hard on Jet when he experienced that one.

Other DLCs vary in quality, but they're all okay, more or less. Broken Steel is the most flawed one after the MZ.

Yeah but the problem is that my PC is shizzz so I bought F3 for PS3 and I fking fell in love with that game. Thanks for the tip though :)

Oh and btw If someone in the forum plays Fallout 3 on PS3 and has the DLC's please reply. We'll try to make a deal with you :)

You should take every DLC for just sake of it,.

However, not only Motership Zeta. Only thing from Fallout series, what I haven't played. (and I don't want to)

Yeah, the problem is that every DLC is 9,99$ on PSN and the becomes a little bit expensive for me. That's why I'm trying to find people to gameshare with (of course i'll give something in exchange).

If you can find the goty edition it will be more worthwhile and a heck of a lot cheaper. I personally did this for both F3 and F:NV

Yeah I know but I bought the normal edition of the game (I know I'm Stupid) So i don't get shizz :(. That's why I'm trying to find someone to gameshare with. And please If u Know someone with DLC's for Fallout 3 please tell me I can share some stuff with that person too (Like L4D2 or Uprising for BO2

Operation Anchorage is good if you like the shooting action, and it has some pretty views and gives a little extra story to the Outcasts. You would have to really like the shooting action though, because that's basically all it is, and it's like two hours long.

Someone should turn that idea into a fanfic. That could be a fun write. Like, maybe Dukov is throwing a big ass hedonistic party and TLW is there getting fucked up as hell on every chem under the sun. Then everyone starts turning into aliens and abominations and shit.
