Fallout 3 DLCs to offer KoN-level content

While Bethesda is not unveiling any details about the Fallout 3 DLCs, did have indicated to videogaming247 that the GFW/Xbox306-exclusive DLCs will be "substantial", comparable to the DLC addition Knights of Nine was to Oblivion.
“I couldn’t even tell you right now what the DLC would be, but our plans are for substantial stuff,” [Pete Hines] said. “The equivalent of things like Knights of the Nine for Oblivion, where it provides many hours of gameplay, not just a one-off thing of an item (or items) or a hangout, or things like that.”

Todd Howard used the word “substantial” to describe the additional content at E3, where he also said it would be 360-exclusive. Hines told us, though, that the PC version would be getting the DLC as well.
No return of the horse armor fiasco, let us hope.

How exactly does "360-exclusive"="PC version would be getting the DLC as well"? Or do they simply mean that it won't be for the PS?

Xbox360 and Games for Windows Live-exclusive.

Microsoft is currently making some changes to Games for Windows Live, making it more similar to Xbox360 Live, and promoting it is probably part of the reason Microsoft stretched this exclusivity over GFW.

So yes, only PS3 doesn't get it. And, I suppose, PCs that can't use GFW for some reason, but I don't think any of those could run Fallout 3. It looks like the begging from some corners for Mac or Linux-ports was in vain.

so PS3 guys wont get their robohorse

anyways its a little disturbing, their DLC stuff, i mean if i was in charge of that stuff, there would be no way in hell id release editor for that game if i planned to make some $$$ on DLC (which would be mostly insignificant stuff i presume despite their 'substantial' thing)

Well, yea.... Things seem to be leaning towards Bethsoft not releasing an editor, and this news just re-confirms that there probably won't be an editor.

You know I heard all of this before when the Oblivion CS didn't make it on to the disc. I expect they are just covering their asses incase a critical bug makes it into the final game and they have to put off fixing up the CS to keep the game from beaming space aids into people's eyes.

Will this expensive piece of software enable us to remove all negative karma as well?

First time I saw the post I read it as "koń-level content", which is Polish for horse.

BN since when does your menacing Freudian subconsciousness speak Polish?

(hope the Polish character shows up)

That makes me wonder if we'll be seeing a $5 robot horse armor addon.

I'm trying to think how this will work. As the game ends when you finish the main quest - it's not never-ending, a la Oblivion, where you could DL something new and load up your character and go check it out.

I imagine you'd have to either keep a save file from near the end of the game, or start a new game...

That's how the Mass Effect DLC worked and I didn't hear too many people complaining about it.

What I'm concerned about is if it'll work like Oblivion's DLC and just have this new content either A) Open doors we couldn't unlock or B) Drop new structures into previously empty areas.

Mass Effect has DLC? Must not be talking about the PC version, because the DLC that they promised would be released immediately after the game shipped still isn't here, and neither is a patch to fix the myriad of game-breaking bugs. Wonder if we'll be seeing the same thing from beth.

Seeing as how my PC won't run FO3, and I'm going to get it for PS3, I'm pretty bummed at getting left out of the DLC.

I liked Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine (the rest of the DLC for Oblivion sucked though).

No love for the PS3 owners :(.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the only piece of DLC out for Mass Effect so far is Drop The Sky, which came with the PC version for free.

It didn't. The Xbox 360 DLC is called Bring Down the Sky and I believe it still hasn't been released for PC.

Forgive my brain.

Sometimes it fails to remember stuff correctly.

On top of that, BioWare is offering the downloadable expansion "Bring Down the Sky" free to PC players, though at the time of this review that content was not yet available.

So it's still not available for the PC? That's retarded.
