Fallout 3 E3 Site found - including new video material

That trailer was as pointless as it was redundant. It would have served well as the first tidbit released to the media to subtly generate hype. It reveals nothing about the game that we haven't already known for quite some time.

Since we're now at the point where gameplay screens are abundant and you can't check out any gaming press site without tripping over (semi)detailed previews of the game; something as insubstantial as a hodgepodge of 1950s clips with a VATS chart and a pipboy thrown in there just seems lazy.


TLDR: It would have made a great clip to leak to the public before anything else had been said about the game, but at this point in time it serves no purpose.
 
It's just an intro for the website, not a trailer. The reason Bethesda hasn't announced the site yet is because it has no content, so it's pretty pointless to complain about it showing nothing new when you weren't even supposed to know about the site yet. I'm guessing this site will be the place where all the videos will go, with the whole TV theme and such.

I liked it.

Are you sure? I wouldn't be surprised if they announced the site today and it was just like that...
 
I tried to access it, but I can't get past the "enter your day of birth" part. I enter the date, I press enter and nothing happens, it just stays there.

Any ideas what is happening? And yes, I'm old enough :P
 
So far, this website 'prepare for the future' has been the best of it all by far.

Somegow, though, that does say much...

Haha, I guess you were right. They just announced the site on the blog, no content, just the intro. Apparently they have a lot of great content lined up though...
