Fallout 3 engine info?

Dice rolls are a special kind of random number generators, that's all.
They create nicer curves and thus more realism.

Rolling 2 D6 for damage would be more satisfying than generating a random number between 2 and 12 because with the non-dice approach you end up with as many normal-damage as low-damage or high-damage rolls whereas with the dice you would end up with more normal damage rolls than extremes.

I dont know if any of you noticed this, or if this was posted already, but the news heading is: "Fallout 3 engine info?" now, i dont know if you guys at NMA are idiots or are just bad typers but thats the new "The Elder Scrolls" engine info... hence the names of the countries and you for sure wont be riding any horses through the wastelands.. and I HOPE Fo3 isnt going to be FPS/3rd Person

RE:...

so who's gonna point out the question mark and explain its meaning in this context to this guy...

Bethesda have stated (or were they misquoted again? :D) that TES:IV and FO3 will use "the same technology". Whilst this does not necessarily mean exactly the same engine, it does hint rather heavily that FO3 will use either the same engine or a modified version thereof.

that would mean its gonna be almost nothing like fallout unless they dont make is FPS/3rd Person.... And where does it say they will be using the same engine?

It was said in a previous interview that it will use the same technology, ao we can assume they're talking about the engine (even a heavily modified version would still count, there are parts of the original unreal engine that are still in use today as far as i know). If not, then what would they mean by "technology"? Transistors?

I think such a sarcastic boy deserves a special avatar just for himself, any mods agree with me?

I'd agree, but that doesn't quite cover the whole spectrum of Lt. Riggs.

It's times like these that ask for a brave man to come forth and some kind of "flaming asshole" avatar.

That just begs a pic of Goatse.cx, but covered with an animated flame.
